Attending the meeting were Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Thai Binh and Tran Nam Hung; leaders of relevant departments and branches, Tam Ky City People's Committee and the planning consultancy unit.
Zone 6, with an area of approximately 214.16 hectares, is identified as a key area in the urban development of Tam Ky. This area stretches across the Nhong and Con Thi fields, belongs to Zone II of the city, and will become a large commercial and service center, meeting the economic, cultural and social development needs of the locality.
Not only focusing on commercial development, subdivision 6 also focuses on building an ideal living environment with public works, green areas, and common living spaces serving the community. The expected population is 6,800 people, with type I urban infrastructure standards, including commercial, cultural, educational and medical services.

Specifically, the land use planning is allocated as follows: 40.68% of the area is for residential areas and mixed-use land; 27.02% is for traffic and connecting neighboring areas; 24.56% is for trees and public spaces.
The planning process has followed all legal steps, including holding many meetings to collect opinions from agencies, departments and the community. The Quang Nam Department of Construction has reviewed the planning documents and provided comments to help complete the project. The documents have been confirmed to meet basic requirements and are awaiting approval.
Zone 6 not only contributes to the development of Tam Ky but also creates momentum to promote the local economy, attract investment and improve the quality of life for residents.

Concluding the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung affirmed that the Zoning Plan 6 (scale 1/2,000) is of great significance, creating a premise for implementing many key commercial and service projects, contributing to changing the face of Tam Ky City, while creating momentum to build the city towards a green, modern and sustainable urban area.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung requested Tam Ky City to closely coordinate with the Department of Construction and related units to study and complete the planning options. This should be done on the basis of inheriting the content of the old documents, and submitted to the Provincial People's Committee for approval next May, before the merger of Quang Nam and Da Nang.
Some important points to focus on during the planning process include: Updating changes and fluctuations due to objective and subjective factors affecting the current planning project; calculating local flood prevention plans; building urban drainage systems suitable for each development stage; ensuring urban development is synchronized with the completion of technical infrastructure.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung also specifically noted that the Tam Ky City government should properly address the reasonable needs of people in the planning area, ensuring compliance with legal regulations, especially issues related to land.
