This is a highlight activity within the framework of the 4th Gia Lai Province Ethnic Culture Festival - 2025, organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lai province.
Speaking at the program, Mr. Tran Ngoc Nhung - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lai province - affirmed: "The festival is an opportunity to meet, exchange, discuss and honor the unique cultural colors of ethnic groups.
Although the organization time is not long, let's work together to make that heritage treasure more sparkling - so that not only artisans and cultural workers but also the whole community can understand, love and together preserve and promote the cultural capital left by our ancestors.
The festival opened with a parade of 17 groups with nearly 800 artisans at the foot of Uncle Ho's statue in the spirit of honoring the heritage and owners of cultures.
The art program was staged with many special performances, especially the contribution of People's Artist Ro Cham Phiang - an outstanding son of the Central Highlands, through two songs: Uncle Ho lives forever with the Central Highlands (Le Loi set to poetry by Kpa Y Lang) and Shadow of the Kơ nia tree (Phan Huynh Dieu set to poetry by Ngoc Anh).
The art troupes brought to the festival the distinct colors of each ethnic group such as: the performance of traditional musical instruments by the Jrai art troupe (Pleiku City), Bahnar folk singing (Dak Po district), Then singing of the Tay people (Duc Co district)...
Many new songs were introduced for the first time such as: Gia Lai Cultural Festival, Gia Lai I Love, Songs for Each Other, Happy Night of Farewell - are poetic compositions by people who have been involved in the province's cultural sector for many years, adding contemporary colors to the traditional cultural flow.
The festival "Echoes of the Great Forest" is not only a musical and artistic party but also a tribute to the cultural heritage of Vietnamese ethnic groups.
