The price of live pigs today, April 30, continued to decrease in many localities across the country, with a common decrease of 1,000 VND/kg. The latest survey shows that the price of live pigs in the three regions fluctuates from 66,000 - 77,000 VND/kg.

Specifically, the live hog market in the North recorded a downward trend in prices in many localities. Specifically, the price of live hogs in Tuyen Quang decreased to 66,000 VND/kg, while Bac Giang recorded a price of 67,000 VND/kg, both down 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Provinces such as Hanoi, Hung Yen, Ninh Binh, and Nam Dinh continue to maintain the purchase price of live pigs at around 66,000-68,000 VND/kg, showing relative stability in the context of pork consumption not having much improvement before the long holiday.

In the Central and Central Highlands regions, the live hog market generally remained stable, with only a few localities recording slight price decreases. In Lam Dong, the live hog price decreased to 74,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday's trading level.

Provinces such as Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh and Thua Thien Hue are still maintaining stable prices from 69,000-71,000 VND/kg. The developments show that this region is showing a slowing trend after many consecutive fluctuations in April.

The South continued to be the region that recorded the most significant decrease today. Dong Nai, Tay Ninh, Long An, Dong Thap, Can Tho, Kien Giang and Tra Vinh all reduced the price of live pigs to 74,000 VND/kg.

Some other areas such as Ho Chi Minh City, Vinh Long, Soc Trang, Bac Lieu and Hau Giang still maintain prices in the range of 74,000-75,000 VND/kg, with no new fluctuations recorded. However, with the widespread downward trend, further downward pressure in the coming days is still present.
