Talking about this meaningful work, Ms. Nguyen Thi Van, a resident of residential group 10C, Tan Thanh ward, Dien Bien Phu city, confided: “We pooled money together to buy flags to hang to make the alley more beautiful, to add to the atmosphere of welcoming the nation's major holidays. When we did it, everyone was very unanimous and supportive... I was very surprised when recently many people and tourists came here to take pictures, making the small alley always bustling and crowded.”

The "forest" of red flags has attracted many people and tourists to come here to take pictures.

When decorating and beautifying the neighborhood landscape, the residents of residential group 10C did not expect that their "work" would have such a strong influence. Especially in recent days, when the whole country is jubilantly holding activities towards the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 / April 30, 2025) and the 71st anniversary of the historic Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 / May 7, 2025), the neighborhood attracts more and more tourists and residents. The fact that residents and tourists come here to take pictures makes the "forest" of red flags in the small alley even more meaningful.

Not only decorating and beautifying the neighborhood, people also always raise awareness of maintaining public hygiene.

According to our records, the number of people coming here to check-in and take photos is highest between 8 and 9 am and 4 and 5 pm. In particular, the gentle sunlight at these times enhances the brilliant beauty of the red flags and yellow stars. During peak hours, visitors have to patiently wait in line for their turn to get a satisfactory photo angle.

Coming to the red flag alley with her friends to take photos, Ms. Nguyen Minh Hang, in Thanh Hung commune, Dien Bien district (Dien Bien province) could not hide her excitement, expressing: "Many days ago, I saw the image of this red flag alley appear on Facebook, it looked very beautiful, so I decided to come here with my friends to take a set of photos as a souvenir. With traditional ao dai costumes, we found it very suitable for the setting here".

Not only attracting a large number of people and tourists, the "forest" of flags is also an ideal place for taking photos for many union members and young people.

Other groups of young people also held special press publications to take pictures.

Up to now, the alley in residential group 10C is one of the places decorated with the most flags in Dien Bien. Therefore, for many days now, everyone has been flocking here to take pictures, especially during the upcoming April 30 and May 1 holidays. Many locals and tourists said that when coming here to take pictures, everyone wants to have beautiful and meaningful angles for themselves, so everyone reminds each other to wait.

The "forest" of red flags in residential group 10C, Tan Thanh ward, Dien Bien Phu city, Dien Bien province not only creates a new and unique check-in spot but also demonstrates the spirit of solidarity, patriotism and national pride of the people here.
