Accordingly, the objective of the Project is to concretize the general planning orientation for the construction of Kenh Ga - Van Trinh Tourist Area to 2030 with a vision to 2050, approved by the People's Committee of Ninh Binh province under Decision No. 229/QD-UBND dated February 3, 2021.
Kenh Ga - Van Trinh is expected to be planned into a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary tourist area.
At the same time, form a comprehensive, multi-sector tourist area based on promoting the value of natural landscapes, historical, cultural and ecological relics with regional identity to meet the world's tourism development trends, comply with the development orientation of the Region, the Province and the region. Make a plan for reasonable land exploitation and use and create landscape architecture space suitable to the nature and landscape environment, in harmony with the surrounding area.
The project emphasizes the connection of Kenh Ga - Van Trinh tourist area with priority tourism development policies of Ninh Binh province. Therefore, it is necessary to have a plan to invest, embellish, protect and exploit tourism resources in the best way so that Kenh Ga - Van Trinh tourist area becomes a national tourist area.
In which, identify types of tourism including: Ecotourism, cultural tourism, sightseeing tourism, resort tourism, sports, health care, experiential tourism... Thereby, contributing to improving the quality of life of people associated with conservation work, tourism development, tourism development orientation with the active participation of existing communities with the goal of improving the current life of people in the area and neighboring areas.
Depending on the location and nature of the residential community, form residential areas that produce tourism products and residential areas that do tourism. At the same time, form stable production areas and invest in rural residential infrastructure: Build and manage tourist areas based on respecting all the rights of local communities in living activities, culture, beliefs and sustainable use of land, water resources and other resources in agricultural production.
According to the tourism development orientation of Ninh Binh, by 2030 the province aims to welcome 14.1 million visitors, including 2.4 million international tourists (including 1,280,000 overnight visitors) and 11.7 million domestic tourists (including 3.5 million overnight visitors); the tourism GRDP growth rate reaches about 13%/year, contributing 10% of the province's GRDP.
Interpolated to the period of 2035, Ninh Binh welcomes 15 million visitors, including 2.7 million international visitors and 12.3 million domestic visitors; in the period of 2040, Ninh Binh welcomes 16 million visitors, including 3 million international visitors and 13 million domestic visitors.
Kenh Ga Van Trinh tourist area is oriented to become a national tourist area, a complex of high-class multi-sector tourism and comprehensive services, associated with the protection and exploitation of natural landscapes, culture and history. It is forecasted that by 2035, Kenh Ga - Van Trinh tourist area 20 will welcome 10% of the total number of visitors to Ninh Binh province, with a total of 1.5 million other arrivals, including 270 thousand international visitors and 1.23 million domestic visitors.
It is forecasted that the increasing number of tourists will create more jobs in the tourist area. Accordingly, by 2025, jobs will be created for about 5,000 people (about 1,500 local people). By 2035, it will be about 6,600 thousand people (about 2,100 local people).
The project also emphasizes that the formation of a tourist area will bring many jobs to local residents, attracting a large number of workers from neighboring localities to work, strongly shifting the occupational structure from agriculture to services, changing the socio-economic landscape in the communes in the project area as well as neighboring communes.
