Q1/2025: ABBANK's pre-tax profit increased more than 2 times compared to the same period, strong digital transformation

At the end of the first quarter of 2025, An Binh Commercial Joint Stock Bank (ABBANK) achieved VND 407 billion in pre-tax profit, an increase of 128% over the same period in 2024. Digital transformation continues to be a bright spot with the launch of a new digital banking platform called ABBANK for individual customers.

As of March 31, 2025, ABBANK's total assets reached VND 183,659 billion, an increase of 4% compared to the beginning of the year, reaching 92% of the yearly plan; Mobilization from customers and issuance of valuable papers reached VND 112,067 billion; Outstanding credit reached VND 100,352 billion.

ABBANK has set aside VND 340 billion in the first quarter of 2025 for credit risk provisions and debt repurchase from VAMC. ABBANK also continues to strengthen the control of bad debt at 2.44%, maintaining it below 3% as prescribed in Circular No. 11/2021/TT-NHNN of the State Bank.

ABBANK's Q1/2025 profit before tax increased by 128% compared to the same period in 2024

Pre-tax profit in the first quarter of 2025 will reach VND 407 billion, an increase of 128% compared to the first quarter of 2024. Capital adequacy ratio (CAR) at 10.46% complies with the SBV's threshold of over 8%, ensuring ABBANK's solid capital framework.

The digital banking segment also recorded positive results. ABBANK Business features were upgraded such as: online international money transfer, biometric update, online foreign currency trading... helping the digital transaction rate to remain at 56% of the total business transaction volume.

In the digital banking segment for individual customers, the ABBANK application was officially launched. The additional feature of "voice balance change notification" even when the device screen is off, has been positively received, especially from the group of individual business households.

Mr. Pham Duy Hieu - General Director of ABBANK commented: "The Bank continues to maintain its orientation of stable and sustainable development, promoting growth in the following quarters. In particular, the digital transformation work is being strongly implemented, promising to continue to bring many new convenient services, serving customers better in 2025.".

ABBANK continues to promote business efficiency associated with customer understanding and sustainable development. In the first quarter of 2025, the bank has launched many preferential products, notably a loan package to support young people to own their first home.

Many projects joining hands for sustainable community development were also implemented by ABBANK in the first quarter of 2025. ABBANK volunteers are joining hands with local people to plant 100,000 cinnamon trees in Yen Bai.

In addition, many community projects were also implemented in the first quarter of 2025, such as raising funds to donate 100,000 cinnamon trees and 7,000 kg of fertilizer to Yen Bai people through the project "Green An Binh - Green Vietnam", or donating boarding houses to ethnic minority students in Son La within the framework of a special project for ABBANK employees "Journey of a Thousand Miles - Nurturing Thousands of Dreams".
