Mountainous districts of Thanh Hoa province such as Thuong Xuan, Lang Chanh, Ba Thuoc, Quan Hoa, Quan Son, Muong Lat, and Nhu Xuan are home to many ethnic minorities, of which the Thai people account for 50% - 70%.
Thuong Xuan is a mountainous district located in the West of Thanh Hoa province, with 16 communes and towns, 124 villages, hamlets and neighborhoods, of which 112 are mountainous villages, hamlets and neighborhoods. The whole district has nearly 23,000 households with more than 96,000 people, including 3 ethnic groups: Thai, Kinh, Muong, of which the Thai ethnic group accounts for nearly 55,000 people.
Similarly, Ba Thuoc district has 3 main ethnic groups: Thai, Muong, Kinh living together, of which ethnic minorities account for 84.3% (Muong ethnic group accounts for 53.6%, Thai ethnic group accounts for 30.7%). Due to the characteristics of mountainous, remote and isolated areas, the economic and cultural life as well as the intellectual level of ethnic minorities are still limited.
The organization of propaganda and dissemination of legal education for students in these areas by the police is very important in educating students on political ideology, ethics, lifestyle, legal understanding and sense of responsibility, limiting violations of the law in schools; Helping students gain valuable knowledge about the law, thereby knowing how to live more responsibly for themselves and their families, and paying more attention to pressing issues in society, such as drug prevention, social evils, maintaining security and order...
With the motto "Prevention from the beginning, education from the root" , the local police force has closely coordinated with schools to develop practical propaganda plans suitable for students' ages. Propaganda content focuses on issues such as traffic safety, prevention of school violence, prevention of drugs, child abuse, fire prevention and fighting skills, drowning prevention and fighting skills, etc.
To increase the attractiveness and suitability to the awareness and age of students, in addition to the propaganda content that is edited to be concise, easy to remember, easy to understand, the propagandists have cleverly chosen many forms of propaganda, attractive and lively such as situation dramatization, law discovery contests, knowledge-integrated movement games... attracting the enthusiastic participation of students. This helps students receive information easily, naturally and with great interest.
Thanh Hoa Provincial Police said that in the coming time, the local police force in many localities in the province will continue to closely coordinate with schools, innovate propaganda content and methods, and create strong changes in students' awareness and actions.
