On the morning of June 8th, as part of the official visit to Vietnam and participation in the ASEAN Future Forum 2026 by high-level delegations from Laos, Cambodia, and Thailand, Mrs. Dao Thi Bich Thuy - wife of the Vietnamese Prime Minister - along with Mrs. Vandara Siphandone - wife of the Lao Prime Minister, Mrs. Pich Chamony - wife of the Cambodian Prime Minister, and Mrs. Thananon Niramit - wife of the Thai Prime Minister, visited and participated in activities at the Temple of Literature - National University.

At the Temple of Literature - National University, expressing her delight at meeting the wives of the Prime Ministers of Laos, Cambodia, and Thailand, Mrs. Dao Thi Bich Thuy believed that this activity was not only an opportunity to learn more about each other's countries, people, and cultures, but also contributed to fostering friendship, close ties, and trust between the peoples of these countries.
Mrs. Dao Thi Bich Thuy shared that Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, and Thailand are close neighboring countries, sharing a rich and distinctive Southeast Asian cultural space. These countries all value family, hospitality, community solidarity, and respect for human values. These similarities create a natural sense of camaraderie, bringing the people of these countries closer together.

Over the years, friendly relations and cooperation between Vietnam and Laos, Cambodia, and Thailand have been continuously strengthened and developed vigorously in many fields. Besides the efforts of leaders and relevant agencies, people-to-people exchanges and cultural connections have also played a very important role in fostering understanding, trust, and affection among the nations.
During the program, the wives and their delegation visited and received a general introduction to the history, space, architecture, and typical values of the Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam National Special Monument, considered the cradle of the country's education and a symbol of the Vietnamese people's tradition of studiousness and respect for teachers for nearly a thousand years.
At the exhibition space "Scholars 3 - Stories of Scholars," located in the Thai Hoc House within the Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam historical site, the ladies and their delegation were introduced to the art installation "The Scholar's Garden," created from traditional handcrafted materials such as bamboo, Do paper, conical hats, and rattan weaving; a place where the past and present intersect, creating new cultural currents and transforming the Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam historical site into a meeting point for all generations who love the history and culture of the nation.

Continuing the cultural stories at the exhibition, the wives interacted with artisans and directly experienced some traditional crafts such as painting patterns on conical hats, hand embroidery, and watching silk weaving. These intimate experiences helped foreign guests better appreciate the beauty of traditional crafts, the skill of the Vietnamese people, and the vitality of cultural values preserved through generations.
Before the program concluded, the wives of the Prime Ministers of Laos, Cambodia, and Thailand expressed their joy and sincere gratitude for the warm, thoughtful, and heartfelt reception extended by the wife of the Vietnamese Prime Minister to their delegations.

The wives also emphasized that, through their visit to the Temple of Literature - National University, the wives of the Prime Ministers of the three countries felt the hospitality and friendliness of the Vietnamese people; it helped them better understand the culture, the spirit of learning, and the distinctive cultural characteristics and regional cultures of Vietnam, thereby contributing to further deepening the solidarity and close ties between Vietnam and Laos, Cambodia, and Thailand.
Mrs. Dao Thi Bich Thuy hopes that the positive feelings fostered through sincere encounters like today's will contribute to deepening mutual understanding, strengthening cultural connections, and creating a favorable foundation for friendly relations between Vietnam and its neighboring countries.
