Specifically, on August 12, after National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man delivered the opening speech, the National Assembly Standing Committee gave opinions on explaining, accepting and revising four draft laws: Law on Geology and Minerals; Law on Value Added Tax (amended); Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Pharmacy Law; Law on Trade Unions (amended).
On August 13, giving opinions on explaining, accepting and revising the drafts: Law on Prevention and Combat of Human Trafficking (amended); Law on Notarization (amended); Law on Cultural Heritage (amended); Law on Urban and Rural Planning.
On August 14, the National Assembly Standing Committee gave opinions on the explanation, acceptance and revision of the draft Law on Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue; Law on People's Air Defense; Law on Juvenile Justice; and gave opinions on the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Officers of the Vietnam People's Army.
In addition, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly considers matters within its competence.
