Specifically, on August 12th, after National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man delivered the opening remarks, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly gave its opinions on the explanation, acceptance, and revision of four draft laws: the Law on Geology and Minerals; the Law on Value Added Tax (amended); the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Pharmaceuticals; and the Law on Trade Unions (amended).
On August 13th, comments were given on the explanations, acceptance, and revisions of the draft laws: Law on Prevention and Combat of Human Trafficking (amended); Law on Notarization (amended); Law on Cultural Heritage (amended); and Law on Urban and Rural Planning.
On August 14th, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly gave its opinions on the explanations, acceptance, and revisions of the draft Laws on Fire Prevention, Firefighting and Rescue; People's Air Defense; Juvenile Justice; and gave its opinions on the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Officers of the Vietnam People's Army.
In addition, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly considers matters within its jurisdiction.
