On the morning of August 12th, at the Eastern Region Cultural Center, the 17th term of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Council opened its 24th session (a specialized session).

At the session, the Hai Duong Provincial People's Council passed resolutions confirming the dismissal of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and relieving Mr. Trieu The Hung from his duties as a member of the Provincial People's Council, 17th term, 2021-2026, due to a transfer of work.
Previously, on July 24th, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly approved the appointment of Mr. Trieu The Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Duong province, to the position of Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Culture and Education of the 15th National Assembly, effective from August 1st.
Speaking at the session, Mr. Trieu The Hung sincerely thanked the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, and the departments, agencies, and localities in the province for their trust and support in carrying out his duties over the past years.
Mr. Hung said he felt honored to be assigned and transferred to work in Hai Duong on May 10, 2020, a land of outstanding people and rich historical traditions.
The former Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Duong province further shared that the more than four years he spent working in Hai Duong province left a very deep impression on him, with memories of the land and people of Eastern Hai Duong.
Mr. Hung emphasized that Hai Duong has achieved many positive results in implementing the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025, despite a mix of favorable and challenging circumstances, especially the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
In his capacity as Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Trieu The Hung stated that he has always dedicated himself to contributing to the overall development of the province, but there are still goals and plans that remain unfulfilled.
Mr. Hung hopes to continue receiving the sharing, support, and cooperation of provincial leaders, leaders of departments, agencies, and localities in the province so that he can utilize his experience from his time working in Hai Duong and successfully fulfill his duties in his new position.
Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly 's Committee on Culture and Education, Trieu The Hung, expressed his confidence and best wishes to the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, leaders of departments, agencies, and localities to continue striving to successfully achieve the goals set forth in the Resolution of the 17th Congress of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee.

Speaking to congratulate Mr. Trieu The Hung on his new assignment, Hai Duong Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang said that during his more than four years of service in Hai Duong province, Mr. Hung had continuously strived and successfully completed all assigned tasks. Mr. Hung performed well in his role as a cadre and Party member, clearly demonstrating his qualities and work capabilities.
On behalf of the leaders of Hai Duong province, Mr. Tran Duc Thang respectfully thanked Mr. Trieu The Hung for his contributions to Hai Duong province. At the same time, the Secretary of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee wished him continued success in his new position and expressed his hope that he would continue to show interest in and support the development of Hai Duong.
Mr. Trieu The Hung was born in 1971 in Tan Trieu commune, Thanh Tri district, Hanoi. He is an Associate Professor and Doctor of Cultural Studies, and holds a Bachelor's degree in Cultural and Artistic Education.
Prior to his approval for his new position, Mr. Hung was the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Duong province. He was also a member of the National Assembly in the 14th and 15th terms, and a member of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education.
Mr. Hung has a long history of working at the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education. When he was first nominated by the Central Committee to run for the 14th National Assembly of Vietnam in May 2016, he was serving as the Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Education, Youth, and Children, National Assembly Office.
From 2009 to 2016, he served as Secretary to the Chairman of the Committee on Culture, Education, Youth, and Children (now the Committee on Culture and Education) of the National Assembly.
In 2016, he was elected as a representative to the 14th National Assembly representing Lam Dong province and served as a Standing Member of the Committee on Culture, Education, Youth, and Children (now the Committee on Culture and Education) of the National Assembly, and was later appointed as Vice Chairman of the Committee.
Mr. Trieu The Hung was assigned and appointed by the Party Central Committee to be Deputy Secretary of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee for the 2015-2020 term from mid-2020. A year later, he was elected Chairman of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee.
