Leading by example

In 2011, Mr. Pham Dang Doan joined Hyundai Kefico Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Hai Duong City) to work. As a party member, he has always been a pioneer in labor production. In particular, he is passionate about research and innovation to help businesses improve techniques, save costs and increase labor productivity. In nearly 15 years of working together, he and his colleagues have proposed to the company's management dozens of practical initiatives that have been widely applied in production, contributing to spreading the emulation movement "Good workers, creative workers" throughout the company.

In 2024, with the solution "Evaluate and check the reliability of products", Mr. Doan helped Hyundai Kefico Vietnam Co., Ltd. save more than 2.5 billion VND. Not stopping there, in early April, he continued to advise the company's leadership to use X-rays to check 100% of products, avoiding letting defective products reach customers. Thanks to this solution, the company continued to save 120,000 USD.

Not only a party member, Mr. Doan is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of Hyundai Kefico Vietnam Co., Ltd. In his role, he and the Trade Union Executive Committee coordinated with the Board of Directors of the company to build a salary scale and labor standards that are beneficial to workers. Workers' welfare regimes are all adjusted to ensure compliance with regulations such as: food allowance, diligence, holiday bonuses, Tet... In any position, he always completes the assigned tasks well, is a bridge connecting workers with employers, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in the enterprise.

"I was admitted to the Party when I was still in school. As a Party member, I always worked hard in production and tried to complete assigned tasks well. Since 2012, I was elected to the Executive Committee of the Trade Union. In 2016, I held the position of Head of the Quality Management Team. From 2021 to present, I have been Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell," said Mr. Doan.

For many years, Party member Duong Van Dung (born in 1980) at the Northern Thermal Power Service Joint Stock Company (Chi Linh City) has always been a shining example for workers to follow. From the position of a worker, he has constantly learned and strived to master science and technology. After only one year, he became the Head of the Production Team, managing 30 workers. For more than 10 years, every year, his production team has led the excellent labor emulation movement launched by the company. He himself has always completed his tasks excellently, and has been recognized, commended and rewarded by the enterprise and all levels and sectors.

"In 2002, I was admitted to the local Party. When I joined the enterprise, I continued to participate in activities at the Pha Lai Enterprise Party Cell. I have always been exemplary, maintained my moral qualities, lifestyle, and was close to everyone. I also actively helped and supported my colleagues in production. In 2024, I was one of two worker party members honored by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor," Mr. Dung shared.

With the motto "Where there are workers, there is a party organization", the work of developing party members in enterprises has received special attention from all levels and sectors in Hai Duong. In recent years, grassroots party committees and unions have proactively innovated the content and methods of operation to strengthen political and ideological education for workers. Thereby, contributing to raising political awareness and creating motivation to strive for Party membership for union members and workers.

"For a long time, the labor emulation movement has become a hard criterion for us to discover and nurture party members. Despite the hard work, the Party cell still takes time to thoroughly understand the role of the grassroots party organization in the enterprise to a large number of workers. Many workers have constantly strived to contribute with the desire to join the Party. Up to now, our Party cell has 10 party members, an increase of 4 party members compared to 2017," said Mr. Doan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell of Hyundai Kefico Vietnam Co., Ltd.

Over the years, the Party Committee of Hai Duong Clean Water Trading Joint Stock Company has done a good job of assigning tasks, monitoring and helping young party members to successfully complete their assigned tasks. From 2024 to present, the enterprise has had 17 employees admitted to the Party, bringing the total number to 338 party members. Most party members are exemplary pioneers in production labor. Some typical individuals have also been assigned by the company to take on high positions in the apparatus, actively contributing to improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the grassroots party organization.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Director of Hai Duong Clean Water Trading Joint Stock Company, assessed that workers and laborers are positive factors. If they know how to nurture and nurture them, they will create a driving force to promote business development and strengthen the leadership role of the Party organization in the enterprise. To do this, units need to promote propaganda work, recruit exemplary members, and create a source for developing new Party members. Party committees at all levels need to proactively innovate the content and form of Party activities in the direction of streamlining, quality, focusing on the core, key points, and being suitable for the production and business practices of the enterprise.
