Senga the bull predicts Scotland will go far in the 2026 World Cup.
The Scotland national team is predicted to advance beyond the World Cup group stage for the first time, thanks to a prediction by a two-year-old prophetic cow named Senga. Before their match against Morocco in Massachusetts (USA), Senga predicted a result that would show Steve Clarke's team making history by progressing through the group stage.
Remarkably, this "four-legged prophet" had previously accurately predicted Scotland's victory over Haiti in their opening match. Not only that, Senga also predicted that captain John McGinn would become Scotland's top scorer in the tournament, before he scored the winning goal.

When presented with food containers labeled with the results of the group stage matches, this long-haired Highland cow chose the option of Scotland drawing with Morocco and losing to Brazil. According to her calculations, Scotland would most likely need at least a draw against either Morocco or Brazil to qualify for the round of 32.
Neale McQuistin, owner of Kitchen Coos and Ewes farm in Dumfries and Galloway – where Senga lives – humorously shared:
“We always knew Senga was a special cow, but we never imagined she would become a football prediction expert. Normally she’s very calm, but if she believes Scotland can get four points in the group stage, then Scottish fans should start believing that anything is possible.”
The 2026 World Cup marks Scotland's first appearance at the world's biggest football tournament since 1998. The team's supporters, often referred to as the "Tartan Army," have also made a strong impression in the United States.
Over 20,000 Scottish fans traveled to Massachusetts to support their team in the first two group stage matches. Around 5,000 of them stayed in Rhode Island and were praised by local media for donating thousands of pounds to local charities.

According to Senga's prediction, Scotland's journey in the US could be even longer. This prophetic cow believes Scotland will reach the quarter-finals.
However, Senga's prediction wasn't limited to Scotland. According to his selection, England would advance to the semi-finals but ultimately be eliminated after a penalty shootout – a scenario that has become a familiar nightmare for England fans.
Alex Apati, Director of Communications for Ladbrokes, the company that partners with Senga's farm, said:
"If Scotland reach the quarter-finals and England are eliminated on penalties, Senga will most likely become an honorary member of the Tartan Army."
He also added humorously:
"We've seen a surge in bets on England losing on penalties. Because if there's anything more believable than a prophetic cow, it's the pain of England losing on penalties."
