On the evening of April 29, the Phu Quoc Tourism and Cuisine Festival 2025, organized by the Kien Giang Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center, opened at the Phu Quoc City Cultural and Sports Center Park (Kien Giang).

The festival takes place from April 29 to May 1, a large-scale cultural and tourism event to celebrate the 50th anniversary of national reunification and respond to APEC 2027 held in Phu Quoc.
One of the highlights of the event is the large-scale exhibition and product display space, held at the Phu Quoc City Cultural and Sports Center. In particular, the Kien Giang tourism promotion space introduces images and outstanding tourism products of localities such as Phu Quoc, Ha Tien, Kien Hai.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong, Vice Chairman of Kien Giang Provincial People's Committee, delivered the opening speech at Phu Quoc Tourism and Culinary Festival 2025.

In addition, the Phu Quoc culinary space is a place to perform and prepare typical dishes using Phu Quoc fish sauce, promoting the quintessence of local cuisine. Next is the OCOP product space, export, typical of Kien Giang province, which is an area to display and introduce a variety of agricultural products, handicrafts, OCOP products, etc.

In parallel, from April 28 to 30, a survey program of Phu Quoc tourist destinations was organized for about 30 to 60 domestic travel businesses. This is an opportunity for travel companies to approach and evaluate the actual services in Phu Quoc, thereby building suitable tour products and strengthening cooperation with local units.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong, Vice Chairman of Kien Giang Provincial People's Committee, said that through the festival's activities, the province wishes to promote and introduce the image, great tourism potential and unique traditional cultural beauty, OCOP products, and diverse cuisine of Phu Quoc in particular and Kien Giang in general to tourists.

The leaders of Kien Giang province hope that through these activities, they will strengthen the connection of tourism products and commercial products in a professional manner and approach the value chain of providing commercial tourism services from quantity to quality, improving efficiency and professionalism, especially when Phu Quoc is chosen by the Government as the venue for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum in 2027 (APEC 2027).

In particular, the Phu Quoc Tourism and Cuisine Festival held today is a stepping stone for preparing for this big event," said Mr. Phong.
According to our records, on the evening of April 29, thousands of Phu Quoc residents and tourists gathered at Phu Quoc City Cultural Center Park. Everyone was excited because this was the first time Phu Quoc was chosen as the venue for this festival. People came to watch art shows, shop for products and enjoy specialties of Phu Quoc and some neighboring localities.
