On the morning of August 5, the Ministry of Finance informed about a number of issues regarding the corporate bond market.

The Ministry of Finance said that, regarding the primary market situation, data from July 1, 2024 to July 26, 2024 showed that there were 56 successful private corporate bond issuances with a volume of about VND 45 trillion (down 15% compared to June 2024; up 57% compared to the same period in 2023).

By type of issuing enterprise: Credit institutions issued 35.1 trillion VND (accounting for 78% of the issuance volume), real estate enterprises issued 5.5 trillion VND (accounting for 12.1%); enterprises in the remaining fields issued about 4.4 trillion VND (accounting for 9.9%).

Classified by secured bonds: 6.3 trillion VND of bonds issued with secured terms (accounting for 14% of issued volume). Of which, bonds of real estate enterprises with secured terms account for 86.5%; bonds of credit institutions without secured assets.

The Ministry of Finance said that in the first 7 months of 2024, there were 174 successful private corporate bond issuances with a volume of 161.5 trillion VND (2.6 times higher than the same period in 2023).

Of which, credit institutions issued more than 109 trillion VND (accounting for 67.5% of the issuance volume), real estate enterprises issued nearly 38.7 trillion VND (accounting for 24%); enterprises in the remaining fields issued 13.8 trillion VND (accounting for 8.5%).

If classified by secured bonds, there are 24 trillion VND of bonds issued with secured clauses (14.9% of issued volume). Of which, bonds of real estate enterprises with secured clauses account for 84.4%; bonds of credit institutions without secured assets.

The volume of early repurchases was VND 88.8 trillion (down 36% compared to the same period in 2023).

According to information from the Hanoi Stock Exchange, in the first 7 months of 2024, the total transaction value reached VND 566,857 billion, the average transaction value per session reached about VND 4,049 billion/session.
