Russia's Iskander-M missile strikes accurately.
On August 13, SF reported that the Russian military had launched attacks on Ukrainian military infrastructure in rear areas. Ukrainian military airfields are frequent targets of Russian missile attacks. On August 13, the Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed recent successful attacks on numerous military targets and industrial facilities serving the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the rear.
Recently, Russian Iskander-M missiles struck the Mirgorod military airfield in the Poltava region of Ukraine. The precise strike resulted in the destruction of a Ukrainian Air Force Su-27 aircraft.
As usual, Russian reconnaissance drones coordinated the attack and recorded the results.
This Russian attack demonstrates that Ukraine's air defenses are still failing to protect strategically important facilities despite receiving additional expensive air defense systems.
