Dmitry Kuzyakin, CEO of Russia's Center for the Development of Integrated Unmanned Solutions (CUS), said that Russian experts have developed a "doomsday" first-person view (FPV) drone to monitor background radiation and ensure the safety of military personnel in the event of nuclear war.
Kuzyakin shared that he believes reason will prevail and the world will avoid using nuclear weapons, and Russia's "doomsday drone" will never have to be used.
"However, we believe it would be a crime not to prepare for even the worst-case scenarios. Our experts have developed a 'doomsday' drone to monitor background radiation and ensure the safety of military personnel as part of the Khrust project."
Mr. Kuzyakin explained that this is a small drone that can be stored away along with its control unit.
The "doomsday" device has a flight time of up to 20 minutes in active maneuvering mode. Its operating range depends on the terrain and signal transmission conditions, varying from 500 m to 2 km.
Regarding nuclear war, Russian President Putin has repeatedly warned that, "Western countries must realize that we also have weapons capable of striking targets on their territory. Current developments could lead to nuclear conflict and the destruction of civilization. Don't they understand this?"
Russia currently possesses the world's largest nuclear arsenal, with nearly 6,000 warheads. Russia and the United States together hold approximately 90% of the world's nuclear warheads, enough to destroy the planet many times over.
