According to the head of the Education and Training Department of Binh Tan district, the addition of 7 school buildings for the new school year will help primary schools reduce the average number of students per class to 37 students/class and maintain a stable number of students per class at 45 students/class compared to the previous school year.
According to statistics from the Department of Education and Training of Binh Tan District, the locality is currently lacking 1,226 classrooms at the primary and secondary school levels. With a large number of children of school age but a limited number of classrooms, the district has set a target for public investment in the 2020-2025 period to focus on school building projects.
Build 700 to 1,000 classrooms by 2025.
For the period 2024-2025, the district has been allocated 10,231 billion VND for 101 projects, including 42 projects in specific sectors with an investment of 4,819 billion VND. The district is also developing a plan for public investment in schools, aiming to build 700 to 1,000 classrooms by 2025.
Mr. Ngo Van Tuyen stated that this year marks the highest number of new classrooms put into use in Binh Tan District in many years. This is a result of efforts to achieve the educational goals for the 2021-2025 period, reaching the target of 300 schools per 10,000 people of school age, as stipulated in the district Party Congress resolution. In particular, it represents a step-by-step implementation of the project to build 4,500 classrooms to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Southern Vietnam and the reunification of the country.
