Mr. Trieu The Hung has been relieved of his duties as Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Duong province.

Previously, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly approved Mr. Trieu The Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Duong province, to hold the position of Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Culture and Education of the 15th National Assembly, effective from August 1, 2024.

The Standing Committee of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee has issued a resolution assigning Mr. Luu Van Ban, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee, and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, to be in charge of and manage all the work of the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial People's Committee from August 1, 2024, until the competent authority completes the appointment of the Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee and the Chairman of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

In addition to personnel matters, at the meeting, delegates voted and unanimously approved two resolutions on the investment policies for two transportation projects: a resolution on the investment policy for the construction of a bridge over the Thai Binh River and access roads belonging to the Hai Duong City Ring Road I, section from Provincial Road 391 to Provincial Road 390C, with a total investment of 1,228 billion VND; and a resolution on the construction of several sections of the northern access roads of National Highway 5 in Kim Thanh district, with a total investment of 400 billion VND.

The session also adopted 7 resolutions deciding on the investment policies for public investment projects; 3 resolutions on the field of Natural Resources and Environment; and resolutions on construction planning.
