At the meeting, the People's Council of Hai Duong province passed a resolution to dismiss the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 17th term, 2021-2026 term, and to remove from the duties of a delegate of the Provincial People's Council for the 17th term, 2021-2026 term, Mr. Trieu The Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Duong province due to job transfer.

Previously, the National Assembly Standing Committee approved Mr. Trieu The Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Duong province, to hold the position of Deputy Chairman of the Culture and Education Committee of the 15th National Assembly from August 1, 2024.

The Standing Committee of Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee has issued a resolution on assigning Mr. Luu Van Ban, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to be in charge of and direct all work of the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial People's Committee from August 1, 2024 until the competent authority completes the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee and the position of Chairman of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

In addition to personnel work, at the meeting, delegates voted and unanimously approved two resolutions on investment policies for two traffic projects: Resolution on deciding on investment policy for the project to build a bridge over the Thai Binh River and the access road belonging to the Hai Duong City Ring Road I, from Provincial Road 391 to Provincial Road 390C with a total investment of VND 1,228 billion; Resolution on building some sections of the northern service road of National Highway 5 in Kim Thanh district with a total investment of VND 400 billion.

The meeting also passed 7 resolutions deciding on investment policies for public investment projects; 3 resolutions on the field of Natural Resources and Environment and resolutions on construction planning.
