At the meeting, the Provincial People's Council passed a Resolution to dismiss the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 17th term, 2021-2026 term, and to remove from office Mr. Trieu The Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee, from the position of delegate of the Provincial People's Council for the 17th term, 2021-2026 term due to job transfer.

Previously, the National Assembly Standing Committee passed a resolution approving Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Duong province Trieu The Hung to hold the position of Deputy Chairman of the Culture and Education Committee of the 15th National Assembly.

The Standing Committee of Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee has issued a Resolution on assigning Mr. Luu Van Ban, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to be in charge of and direct all work of the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial People's Committee from August 1, 2024 until the competent authority completes the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee and the position of Chairman of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

During his working process, Mr. Trieu The Hung was Secretary of the Committee Chairman, Deputy Director, Director of the Department of Culture, Education, Youth, Adolescents and Children, Office of the National Assembly; member of the Secretary of the Technology Steering Committee and the Information Technology Steering Committee of the Party agency, Central Executive Committee of the Party.

Since July 2016, he has been a Standing Member of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture, Education, Youth, Adolescents and Children; Vice Chairman of the 14th National Assembly's Young Delegates Group; Vice Chairman of the Vietnam - Chile Friendship Parliamentarians' Association.

Since November 2018, he has been Vice Chairman of the Committee on Culture, Education, Youth, Adolescents and Children of the 14th National Assembly; Vice President of the Association of Vocational Education and Social Professions.

In May 2020, Mr. Trieu The Hung, while serving as Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Culture, Education, Youth, Adolescents and Children of the 14th National Assembly, was transferred and appointed to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee for the 2015-2020 term.

On June 29, 2021, at the first session of the 17th Hai Duong Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Trieu The Hung was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee.
