Accordingly, the Provincial People's Council passed a resolution to dismiss the Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Council and to terminate the duties of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Council delegate for the 14th term, 2021-2026 term for Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ky, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Council. Previously, on August 3, in Hanoi, the 13th Party Central Committee held a meeting on personnel work.

Accordingly, based on the report of the Central Inspection Committee and the proposal of the Central Organizing Committee, the Party Central Committee found that Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ky, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Council, violated Party regulations in performing assigned duties and tasks, violated regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do, the responsibility to set an example, and regulations on preventing and combating corruption and negativity. Fully aware of his responsibility to the Party and the people, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ky submitted a request to resign from his assigned positions.

Based on current regulations of the Party and State and considering personal wishes, the Party Central Committee agreed to let Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ky resign from his position as member of the 13th Party Central Committee.
