The performance of 10,500 drones is the most anticipated event in the series of activities "Colors of Uncle Ho's City", taking place from April 19 to the end of May, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
Previously, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports announced that the drone shows were scheduled to take place on April 19, April 26 and April 30, but April 19 and April 26 could not be held.
Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has adjusted the plan, assigned the Department of Culture and Sports to coordinate with Ho Chi Minh City Police to conduct technical inspections, ensure security, traffic safety and fire prevention.
In addition, the festival program "Colors of Uncle Ho's City" also includes many activities taking place from the headquarters of the People's Council - People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Nguyen Hue Street, Ho Chi Minh City Theater, Bach Dang Wharf, Thu Duc City Park and on the Saigon River on the nights of April 29 and April 30.
Highlights include: 3D mapping art at the front of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council - People's Committee headquarters, fireworks, and the program "National Reunification Day". On the Saigon River, people will enjoy performances such as traditional music, flower lantern boat parade, cruise ship parade, water sports, paragliding performances, and art programs at the barge stage at Bach Dang wharf.
In addition, the program also includes symphonic music with world classics and compositions praising Ho Chi Minh City, circus, magic, opera, and music and dance performances. In particular, the program "Khan Ran Dance" will take place in front of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and along Nguyen Hue Street.
