TPO - The Co Ma high-end new urban area project in Van Ninh district, Khanh Hoa province, has been approved by the Van Phong Economic Zone Management Board. It covers an area of over 235 hectares and has a total investment of nearly 6,000 billion VND.
On August 1st, the Van Phong Economic Zone Management Board announced that it had approved the investment plan for the Co Ma High-Class New Urban Area project in Van Phuoc commune, Van Ninh district, Khanh Hoa province, through a bidding process to select an investor.
The project covers an area of over 235 hectares and has a total investment of nearly 6,000 billion VND. The project aims to invest in the construction of a complete and integrated new urban area, including technical infrastructure; commercial housing, residential land plots (in the form of subdivided lots for sale); service facilities, tourism and resort facilities, tourist accommodation, public works, and services serving the residential and urban areas. The project also utilizes local hot mineral water to develop tourism products to meet the needs of residents and tourists.

The high-end Co Ma new urban area has a population of approximately 9,700 people, with an estimated 171 low-rise (terraced) houses; approximately 150 low-rise (villa) houses; and approximately 0.88 hectares of land allocated for social housing development (providing approximately 158 apartment units). Regarding funding, the investor's equity contribution must be at least 15% of the total project investment; the maximum mobilized capital is 85% of the total project investment.
Regarding this project, on July 16th, the Party Committee of the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province submitted a proposal to the Standing Committee of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee on the investment policy for the Co Ma High-Class New Urban Area project. According to the Party Committee of the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province, the proposed project aims to utilize the area's hot mineral water to serve the needs of residents and tourists, generating revenue for the locality and complying with the law on minerals and other relevant regulations. The province is currently seeking the opinion of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment on this matter.
The Standing Committee of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee has approved the investment plan for the Co Ma High-Class New Urban Area project, as submitted by the Party Committee of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee. The Standing Committee also noted the need to review and finalize all relevant project data and to effectively carry out compensation, support, and resettlement for land acquisition.
