Attending the ceremony were: Mr. Nguyen Hong Dien - Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Secretary of the Party Committee, Minister of Industry and Trade - Head of the Steering Committee 35 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade; Mr. Nguyen Duc Loi - Standing Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association ; Mr. Vu Trong Ha - Director and Chief of the Office of the Central Steering Committee 35; Mr. Luu Dinh Phuc - Director of the Press Department - Ministry of Information and Communications; Mr. Vu Hong Huy - Deputy Director of the Social Affairs Department - Central Propaganda Department; Mr. Nguyen Van Minh - Editor-in-Chief of the Industry and Trade Newspaper; along with members of the Party Committee, leaders of the Ministry of Industry and Trade; members of the Steering Committee 35 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade; representatives of ministries, departments, and agencies; representatives of Party committees at all levels; heads of units under the Ministry of Industry and Trade; and delegates who are the authors and co-authors of the winning works in the competition…

In his summary report on the competition, Editor-in-Chief of the Industry and Trade Newspaper, Nguyen Van Minh, stated: After more than two months of launching and implementing the competition, the organizing committee received 561 entries from a large number of cadres, Party members, civil servants, and employees working in Party organizations, agencies, units, and socio-political organizations within the Ministry of Industry and Trade, as well as readers nationwide. Notably, the competition also attracted many professors, doctors, leading economic experts, journalists, and citizens who responded and participated.
" With a spirit of responsibility, fairness, objectivity, transparency, and seriousness, the Secretariat reviewed, classified, and filtered 202 works to propose to the preliminary judging panel, selecting 50 works to advance to the final judging round. The final judging panel organized the judging and selected works with outstanding content to present to the Steering Committee and the Organizing Committee of the Competition for a decision on awarding prizes, " Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Van Minh emphasized.

Accordingly, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to 28 outstanding works and articles that met the established rules and criteria, and 5 certificates of merit to units and groups with outstanding achievements in organizing the competition; 10 certificates of merit to individuals and organizations that participated well in the competition; and 22 outstanding works that qualified for the final round.
The organizing committee also selected outstanding and exemplary articles to promote, encourage, and disseminate within the Party Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and in society; the entries were also submitted to the Party Committee of the Central Agencies Bloc for further competition.
This is the second time the Ministry of Industry and Trade has organized the essay contest on protecting the Party's ideological foundation in the industry and trade sector. The 2023 contest received 467 entries. The organizing committee selected and awarded prizes to 24 outstanding works/articles, including: 1 Special Prize; 1 First Prize; 3 Second Prizes; 6 Third Prizes; 8 Consolation Prizes; 5 Specialized Prizes; and 5 certificates of merit to 5 units with active participation in the contest.
At the event, the Party Committee and the leadership of the Ministry of Industry and Trade launched a competition to learn about the traditions of the industry and trade sector.
The competition aims to honor traditional values, reflecting the position and role of the Industry and Trade sector in nearly 75 years of construction and development; contribute to traditional education, awaken pride in the Industry and Trade sector, and raise community awareness of the role and importance of the Industry and Trade sector in socio-economic development; create opportunities for everyone to better understand the areas of activity of the Industry and Trade sector. At the same time, it encourages creativity and active participation from all sectors of society in learning about and contributing ideas to build the Industry and Trade sector.
The competition will take place from August 15, 2024 to February 3, 2025 .
