With constant creativity and innovation in content and form, this year's Red Flamboyant Festival is considered to be of a grand scale, unique in content, diverse in activities, and imbued with Hai Phong's identity with the theme "Hai Phong - 70 years of faith and aspiration".

As the Standing Agency, since the first months of the year, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong has advised the City to develop and issue directive documents and plans for the organization of the festival; at the same time, requesting departments, branches, localities and units to register and receive the task of implementing activities and events. Up to this point, the organization of the festival has been carried out very urgently, ensuring quality, worthy of the event.

Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong Tran Thi Hoang Mai said that this year's Red Flamboyant Festival will continue to have many new features: The city will also organize incense offerings to commemorate the late Secretaries of the Hai Phong City Party Committee through the periods; organize visits and present gifts to localities that were the resistance bases of the Hai Phong - Kien An City Party Committee; present gifts to families of policy beneficiaries, people with meritorious services, leaders and former leaders of the city through the periods, intellectuals, artists, and emulation fighters nationwide.

In particular, the city also decided to support each village and residential group with 10 million VND to organize cultural performances and festivals to create an exciting atmosphere, responding to the 70th Anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day right from the grassroots level.

The opening program of the Red Flamboyant Festival will be elaborately staged, recreating Hai Phong over 70 years.

In the near future, the City will direct relevant levels, sectors and units to start construction of 4 key projects and works and inaugurate 7 other key projects to celebrate the Anniversary. Along with that, from April 30 to June 1, 2025, the whole City will continuously hold exciting cultural, artistic, physical education, sports and tourism promotion events.

The 70th Anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day and the Opening Art Program of the Red Flamboyant Festival - Hai Phong 2025 will be staged and applied with high technology, such as using 3D Mapping technology on real scenes, creating magical transformations for the natural landscapes of Hai Phong; using semi-classical Symphony music for the first time, as a bridge to lead emotions for the "cinematic work" about Hai Phong over the past 70 years and the future; the structure is seamless like a panoramic film and bold about the culture, spirit and will of the people of the Red Flamboyant City...

Along with that, the city will organize fireworks displays at 6 locations; arrange sound, light and large LED screens (100 m2) at the 6 fireworks display locations and outside the event area to serve people who do not have the conditions to directly enter the stage.

To reflect the essence of the Port City, out of the more than 10 songs included in the program, 2/3 of the songs will be about Hai Phong City; the artists and actors will also be selected from Hai Phong people who are famous both nationally and internationally...

In addition to the opening art program of the Festival, there are also special international art programs taking place at the central square of the city such as: Art performance exchange by the Nanning City Art Troupe, Guangxi, China (evening of May 11); performance by the Ningbo City Art Troupe, Zhejiang, China (evening of May 12); International Music and Dance Festival for Children (evening of May 14); performance by the Korean Folk Art Troupe (evening of May 17)...

On this occasion, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism also directed the announcement of new products for Hai Phong tourism, which is the luxury train named Hoa Phuong Do. The train has 20 carriages, each carriage will be designed with its own style and especially there will be some VIP carriages for tourists so that people can experience Hai Phong culture. At Hai Phong Station, there will also be a Hai Phong Food Festival...

On this occasion, Hai Phong City will organize gift-giving activities for 1,801 meritorious people, policy beneficiaries, former city leaders, doctors, teachers, meritorious artists, people and national emulation fighters with gifts ranging from 3 to 5 million VND per person corresponding to each group of gift recipients.

At the 70th Anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day and the Opening Ceremony of the Red Flamboyant Festival taking place on the evening of May 13 at the Hai Phong Political - Administrative Center Square, there will be a grand parade with the participation of more than 3,000 people, divided into many groups: Military and Police Group, Departments, branches, organizations, Localities, typical units and other forces.
