Following the success of previous seasons, a special art program honoring parents during the Vu Lan season, themed "Gratitude for Parental Love 2024," will take place at 8:10 PM on August 15, 2024, at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace (91 Tran Hung Dao Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi ).
Speaking at the press conference, director and People's Artist Le Chuc said that after six seasons, the Vu Lan filial piety art program "Gratitude to Parents" has become a meaningful and indispensable activity every Vu Lan season, so that each of us, especially young people, can continue to preserve and promote the age-old traditional cultural values of the nation.

Director and People's Artist Le Chuc shared this at a press conference on the morning of August 8th.
When we know how to be filial, value family values, and are infinitely grateful to our parents, and more broadly, grateful for and appreciate what our country and previous generations have done for us, we will be people who live righteously, who know how to love our fellow citizens and humanity. Building a happy family is contributing to building a happy nation and realizing the aspiration for the development of human culture and Vietnamese culture.
“What makes this art program special is that it uses music to praise the immeasurable contributions of our parents and ancestors, thereby reminding the younger generation of their responsibility to live a life of gratitude and filial piety. The program utilizes diverse and unique artistic performances, combining music, dance, poetry, drama… along with modern theatrical techniques to convey a meaningful message during the Vu Lan festival. This also further affirms the ‘Gratitude to Parents’ program series as a ‘brand’ of Tuoi Tre Thu Do newspaper and Oscar Media in their journey to multiply good deeds and accompany the cultural development of Hanoi and the country,” added Director and People's Artist Le Chuc.

The organizers announced that the art program "Gratitude to Parents 2024" is expected to last 120 minutes and will be structured into three distinct chapters, each conveying special content and meaning to the audience.
Part 1 - "Opening Performance: The scene 'A Life of Burden' and the song 'The Road Home,' staged by Director Mai Thanh Tung, choreographed by Uyen Chi, with music by Moc Cam, and especially featuring the warm, heartfelt commentary by People's Artist Le Chuc, set against the backdrop of performances by the Oscar dance troupe, Lavender dance troupe, Sao Tuoi Tho club, and singer Ai Phuong, will be a captivating opening, leading the audience into a space filled with love for their homeland, and the affectionate and forgiving love of family..."
Part 2 - “Gratitude to Parents” is not just an art performance, but a whole series of activities in the journey of gratitude and filial piety that the Organizing Committee has persistently carried out over the years. The summary of meaningful activities on the sidelines of the “Gratitude to Parents 2024” event will give the audience a comprehensive view of the social welfare direction that the newspaper has achieved.
Part 3 - An artistic program with 3 chapters: "Beloved Days of Yesteryear", "The Love of Father and Mother", and "Prayer".

A new highlight of this year's program is the interaction with a group of young people who restore hundreds of portraits of fallen soldiers for free, and a group of young people who provide "zero-cost shelter" for the homeless in Hanoi, demonstrating the compassion and responsibility of young people towards social issues. It is a journey to continue the beautiful traditions of "Love others as you love yourself" and "Remember the source when drinking water" of the nation.
Along with the theatrical performance by the Youth Theatre, the program continues to emphasize music with its strengths in melody and lyrics, allowing "Gratitude for Parental Love" to deeply touch the hearts and souls of the viewers.
Director Mai Thanh Tung, author and general director of the program, shared: “I believe that what we convey through art will fully resonate with the audience, touching every heart so that we can continue to write songs about humanity and uphold the precious traditions of our nation.”
