Opening Ceremony of the 14th All-Army Television Festival 2024

In the development of science and technology, digital transformation is an inevitable trend that has been and is directly impacting the development, skills, and working methods of journalists in general and those working in military video journalism in particular.

Television broadcasting within the military has been gradually built and developed, better fulfilling the tasks of disseminating information on military and national defense work, combat readiness training, Party building, mass mobilization, logistics, and technical support. At the same time, this activity actively combats "peaceful evolution" in the ideological and cultural fields; refutes erroneous and hostile viewpoints, protects the Party's ideological foundation; and contributes to honoring the image and noble qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" who selflessly dedicate themselves to the people, worthy of the trust and love of the Party, the State, and the people.

The 14th All-Army Television Festival, held for the first time in Thai Nguyen City, Thai Nguyen Province – a land rich in cultural, historical, and revolutionary traditions – is an opportunity to assess the quality of television activities in the army, exchange and learn from the experiences of television journalists throughout the army, and contribute to improving the quality of Vietnam National Defense Television programs and People's Army Television programs broadcast on Vietnam Television, regional and local television stations...

According to the organizers, with the theme "Creativity and Dedication," this year's festival features 438 works from 139 participating units across various genres and programs: features, reports, educational films, and documentaries. This is the largest number compared to previous festivals.

The 14th All-Army Television Festival continues to mark a new stage of maturity for the television professionals in the military. The works submitted to this festival are expected to be of high quality, with many creative and innovative ideas, worthy of the glorious traditions of the army and the country, contributing to the effective dissemination of information about the activities of agencies and units throughout the army that are working together to implement the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party and the Resolution of the 11th Congress of the Party Committee of the Army, and Directive 05 of the Politburo on "Promoting the Study and Emulation of Ho Chi Minh's Thought, Morality, and Style," and effectively carrying out the campaign "Promoting Tradition, Contributing Talents, and Upholding the Name of Uncle Ho's Soldiers."

Besides the main activities such as the opening and closing ceremonies, the selection of works to be honored, and the awarding of prizes, there are also many new activities, organized for the first time at the Festival, such as: an exhibition of the latest television technology; a photo exhibition about journalistic activities; the organization of a tea culture space to introduce the specialties of Thai Nguyen; visits and experiences of historical and cultural relics in Thai Nguyen and experiences of the activities of the three factories of the General Department of Defense Industry located in the area...

The 14th All-Army Television Festival will run until August 3, 2024.
