At the opening ceremony, Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, Head of the Festival Steering Committee emphasized: This is one of the practical activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army, the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day, and the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army.

In the development of science and technology, digital transformation is an inevitable trend that has been directly affecting the development, skills, and working methods of journalists in general and those working in military visual journalism in particular.

Television activities in the army have been gradually built and developed, increasingly better meeting the tasks of propaganda on military work, national defense, combat readiness training, Party building, mass mobilization, logistics and technical support... At the same time, this activity also actively fights against peaceful evolution in the fields of ideology and culture; refutes erroneous and hostile viewpoints, protects the Party's ideological foundation; contributes to honoring the image and noble qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" who forget themselves for the people, sacrifice for the people, worthy of the trust and love of the Party, the State and the people.

The 14th Military Television Festival was held for the first time in Thai Nguyen city, Thai Nguyen province - a land rich in cultural, historical and revolutionary traditions; an opportunity to evaluate the quality of television activities in the army, exchange and learn experiences among television journalists in the entire army, contributing to improving the quality of Vietnam National Defense Television programs, People's Army Television programs on Vietnam Television, regional and local television stations...

According to the Organizing Committee, with the theme "Creativity and Dedication", this year's Festival has 438 works from 139 units in various genres and programs: columns, reports, science films, documentaries. This is the largest number compared to previous festivals.

The 14th Military Television Festival continues to mark a new step of maturity for the team of television workers in the army. The works participating in this Festival are expected to be of high quality with many creative and innovative works, worthy of the glorious tradition of the army and the country, contributing to effectively propagating the activities of agencies and units in the entire army that are joining hands and unanimously implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the 11th National Party Congress of the Army, Directive 05 of the Politburo on "Promoting the Study and Follow of Ho Chi Minh's Thought, Morality and Lifestyle", effectively implementing the Campaign "Promoting Tradition, Dedicating Talent, Worthy of Uncle Ho's Soldiers".

In addition to the main activities such as opening, closing, selecting works to honor, awarding prizes, there are also many new activities, held for the first time at the Festival such as: Exhibition of the latest television technology; photo exhibition on press activities; organizing a tea culture space to introduce Thai Nguyen's specialties; visiting and experiencing historical and cultural relics in Thai Nguyen and experiencing the activities of 3 factories of the General Department of Defense Industry located in the area...
