On August 1, a working session and opening ceremony for visitors took place at Hai Van Quan relic site between departments and agencies of Thua Thien - Hue province and Da Nang city.

Hai Van Quan is located on the top of Hai Van Pass in Lang Co Town, Phu Loc District, Thua Thien Hue Province and Hoa Hiep Bac Ward, Lien Chieu District, Da Nang City. This is a military fortification guarding the top of Hai Van Pass, a structure containing many cultural and historical values ​​and is also a famous scenic spot, contributing to the tourism development of the two localities.

On April 14, 2017, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism ranked Hai Van Quan as a national relic according to Decision No. 1531/QD-BVHTTDL. On December 19, 2021, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center coordinated with the Department of Culture and Sports of Da Nang City to organize the groundbreaking ceremony for the project to preserve, restore and promote the value of Hai Van Quan relic. The total investment of the project is more than 42 billion VND, of which Da Nang City and Thua Thien - Hue Province each allocate 50%, the project implementation period is until the end of 2023.

On July 25, 2023, the People's Committee of Thua Thien - Hue province issued Decision No. 1779/QD-UBND Thua Thien Hue, approving the adjustment of the project to preserve, restore, restore and promote the value of Hai Van Quan relic.

Mr. Phan Van Tuan, Deputy Director of the Hue Monuments Conservation Center, said that the restoration of Hai Van Quan ensures the restoration and renovation of the original construction items of the monument. The materials here are mainly bricks and stones, so the unit has actively searched for materials and other elements that comply with the regulations and principles of preserving and restoring monuments.

In the first phase of serving tourists, Hai Van Quan relic will be free for locals and tourists until a suitable ticket price list is agreed upon.
