Hanoi supports people to consume OCOP agricultural products

The 2024 Hanoi Agricultural Trade Promotion Fair and OCOP Products will take place at AEON MALL Long Bien from August 8-11.

The fair has a scale of about 60 booths with the participation of about 90 organizations, businesses, and OCOP entities from 27 provinces and cities. Businesses participating in the fair display over 1,500 lines of agricultural and processed products such as: cordyceps, various types of tea, dairy products, bird's nest, vermicelli, noodles, coffee, spices, dried foods, veal ham, agarwood, honey...

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Bui Duy Quang said that through the organization of the fair, businesses have more opportunities to introduce OCOP products to domestic customers and foreigners living in Vietnam. Thereby, opening up a new direction for agricultural production and consumption through foreign distribution systems, creating momentum for the sustainable development of Vietnamese businesses.

Delegates cut the ribbon to open the "Hanoi Agricultural Trade Promotion Fair, OCOP Products 2024"

During the fair, the Hanoi Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion will coordinate with the purchasing department of AEON Vietnam to survey and select potential units, businesses and OCOP entities to connect for trade and exchange cooperation opportunities to become suppliers of the AEON system in the future.

Enterprises are provided with information on bidding instructions and regulations on product quality standards for suppliers so that units and enterprises can proactively research and improve production and business capacity to become suppliers for the AEON system.

During the Fair, many sideline activities were also organized to attract visitors such as: Demonstrations, combining product trial experiences at booths and organizing demonstrations at the stage area; Training workshops on brand positioning, domestic and international market research for organic and natural agricultural products; Workshops sharing about organic standards and updating changes in standards, traceability systems for organic products; Event "Weaving natural stories, connecting cultures" recreating the story of Mong people's costumes and culture; Food tasting and guessing challenges; Discovering ancient Shan Tuyet tea; Discovering the organic chicken farm model and magic performances...

In addition, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee also organized a common booth to introduce and promote specialties, typical agricultural products, and OCOP products of the province to consumers in the capital.

In previous fairs, many quality agricultural products from Hanoi and other provinces and cities were introduced to customers and received many positive responses. This helps achieve the common goal of bringing good quality Vietnamese products closer to domestic consumers and foreigners living in Vietnam.
