On the morning of July 31st, despite the heavy rain, thousands of officials, soldiers, and youth union members in Tuyen Quang province arrived early to register for blood donation.
This is the 11th consecutive year that the "Red Journey" program has been held in Tuyen Quang.
This year, the program organizers expect to receive approximately 1,500 units of blood.

At the event, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society announced the charitable project associated with the record-breaking Vietnamese Ao Dai, "Beautiful Landscape of Vietnam," which was certified by the Vietnam Record Organization in 2023 as "The longest handcrafted Ao Dai in Vietnam, showcasing and promoting famous scenic spots."
After completing its mission of promoting Vietnamese cultural heritage, this record-breaking garment will be made into 100 ao dai (traditional Vietnamese dresses) and auctioned off. All proceeds will be donated to the Vietnam Red Cross to support its program providing warm clothing and nutrition for poor and disadvantaged children.
Over the years, the voluntary blood donation movement in Tuyen Quang has received attention and implementation from all levels and sectors, with many diverse forms of mobilization and propaganda attracting the participation and support of a large number of people, especially young people.
The number of voluntary and repeat blood donors is steadily increasing, contributing precious drops of blood to saving the lives of patients. To date, the amount of blood needed for emergency care and treatment at medical facilities in the province has met more than 60% of the demand.

The 2024 Red Journey program in Tuyen Quang is an activity with profound humanitarian significance, contributing to changing community behavior in blood donation to save lives through volunteer activities, for the benefit of public health.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province awarded certificates of merit to 6 collectives and 6 individuals; the Provincial Red Cross Society awarded certificates of merit to 4 collectives and 15 individuals for their outstanding achievements in humanitarian blood donation work in Tuyen Quang province.
