On the morning of July 31, despite heavy rain, thousands of cadres, soldiers, and youth union members in Tuyen Quang province were present early to register to donate blood.

This is the 11th consecutive year the "Red Journey" program has been held in Tuyen Quang.

This year, the program's organizers expect to receive about 1,500 units of blood.

At the program, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society announced the Charity Project associated with the Vietnam Record Ao Dai "Non song gam pham" which was awarded the certificate by the Vietnam Record Organization as "The Ao Dai with handmade embroidery, introducing and promoting famous landscapes of Vietnam with the longest size in Vietnam" in 2023.

After completing the mission of promoting Vietnamese cultural heritage, this record-breaking dress will be made into 100 Ao Dai and auctioned, all proceeds will be donated to the Vietnam Red Cross Society to implement the program of supporting warm clothes and nutrition for poor and disadvantaged children.

In recent years, the voluntary blood donation movement in Tuyen Quang has been focused on and implemented by all levels and sectors with many forms of mobilization and rich propaganda, attracting the participation and response of a large number of people, especially young people.

The number of voluntary blood donors and repeat blood donors is increasing day by day, bringing precious drops of blood to help save the lives of patients. Up to now, the amount of blood for emergency care and treatment of patients at medical facilities in the province has met more than 60%.

The Red Journey Program 2024 in Tuyen Quang is an activity with profound humanitarian meaning, through propaganda activities contributing to changing the community's behavior in donating blood to save lives through volunteer activities, for community health.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province awarded certificates of merit to 6 groups and 6 individuals; the Provincial Red Cross Association awarded certificates of merit to 4 groups and 15 individuals with outstanding achievements in humanitarian blood donation work in Tuyen Quang province.
