The rice market in localities across the Mekong Delta today generally sees low supply, slightly increased prices, and slow purchasing by warehouses.
Specifically, in An Cu (Soc Trang), supply is low, warehouses are buying good quality rice, prices have increased slightly, and purchases are slow. In Sa Dec ( Dong Thap ), prices have increased slightly, supply is low, rice quality is good, and warehouses are buying a lot.

At retail markets, rice prices remained unchanged for individual rice varieties. Currently, Nang Nhen rice is listed at the highest price of 30,000 VND/kg; Jasmine rice at 18,000 - 20,000 VND/kg; Nang Hoa rice at 20,000 VND/kg; regular white rice fluctuating around 15,000 - 16,000 VND/kg; long-grain Thai fragrant rice at 20,000 - 21,000 VND/kg; Huong Lai rice at 20,000 VND/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice at 21,000 VND/kg; common white rice at 17,000 VND/kg; regular Soc rice at 18,500 VND/kg; Soc Thai rice at 20,000 VND/kg; and Japanese rice at 22,000 VND/kg.
Regarding rice, trading in various localities remains sluggish, with prices slightly increasing and demand relatively strong. In Tay Ninh and Dak Lak, prices have risen sharply, and many traders have slowed down their new purchases. In Soc Trang, demand is strong, and prices have increased slightly. In Can Tho , there is high demand for young autumn-winter rice, and farmers are buying and selling cautiously, waiting for prices to rise.
Specifically, according to updates from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of An Giang province, today's rice prices remain unchanged compared to yesterday. IR 50404 rice is priced around 6,900 - 7,000 VND/kg; Dai Thom 8 rice is priced at 7,400 - 7,600 VND/kg; OM 5451 rice is priced at 7,000 - 7,200 VND/kg; OM 18 rice is priced at 7,600 - 7,800 VND/kg; OM 380 rice is priced from 6,800 - 7,000 VND/kg; Nhat rice is priced at 7,800 - 8,000 VND/kg; Nang Hoa 9 rice is priced at 6,900 - 7,000 VND/kg, and Nang Nhen (dried) rice is at 20,000 VND/kg.
Accordingly, the glutinous rice market remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Long An glutinous rice (dried) is priced at 7,000 - 7,900 VND/kg, stable from yesterday. IR 4625 glutinous rice (fresh) is priced at 7,500 - 7,800 VND/kg. Long An glutinous rice (fresh) is priced at 7,400 - 7,600 VND/kg. An Giang glutinous rice (fresh) is priced at 7,000 - 7,200 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday.
Regarding rice, prices have been adjusted compared to yesterday. Specifically, IR 504 summer-autumn raw rice remains at 11,250 - 11,400 VND/kg; finished IR 504 rice has risen to 13,450 - 13,550 VND/kg, an increase of 50 - 100 VND/kg.
By-product prices today have seen adjustments compared to yesterday. Currently, the price of OM 5451 broken rice has increased to 9,300 - 9,400 VND/kg, a rise of 100 VND/kg; while the price of dry rice bran remains stable at 7,200 - 7,300 VND/kg.

On the export market, Vietnamese rice export prices remained unchanged compared to yesterday. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), 100% broken rice was priced at US$435/ton; standard 5% broken rice remained stable at US$559/ton; and 25% broken rice was priced at US$524/ton.
The Indonesian National Logistics Agency (Bulog) announced the results of the July tender for 320,000 tons of 5% broken rice. Seven out of twelve bids were won by businesses exporting rice to the Indonesian market, totaling 185,000 tons. VinaFood 1 won the largest bid, with 104,000 tons. Myanmar won three rice contracts.
According to information from the rice market website Ssricenews, in this bidding round, the Northern Food Corporation (Vinafood 1) offered rice at prices ranging from 567.5 to 577.5 USD/ton. The Southern Food Corporation (Vinafood 2) offered prices from 579.5 to 598 USD/ton. Thai and Pakistani companies also participated in the bidding but were unsuccessful due to their relatively high prices of 584 to 592 USD/ton.
