*Pig price in the North:

Pig market in the North, purchase price is flat across the board.

Currently, traders in Lao Cai and Ninh Binh are trading live pigs at the lowest price in the region of 64,000 VND/kg.

Live pigs in the remaining provinces are purchased at a price of about 65,000 - 66,000 VND/kg, depending on the region.

Today's live pig price in the North is around 64,000 - 66,000 VND/kg.

*Pig price in the Central market

According to records, pig prices in the Central and Central Highlands regions also have no new fluctuations.

Of which, live pigs in Quang Tri, Khanh Hoa and Dak Lak are being purchased at the lowest price of 61,000 VND/kg.

Traders in Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam and Quang Ngai are trading live pigs at 62,000 VND/kg.

The remaining provinces are anchored at 64,000 VND/kg.

Currently, the price of live pigs in the Central and Central Highlands regions is around 61,000 - 64,000 VND/kg.

In the whole Quang Binh province, since the beginning of the year, more than 250 pigs have been infected with the disease and had to be destroyed with a total weight of more than 17,300 kg. However, the situation this year has decreased compared to the same period in 2023, thanks to the drastic participation from the province to the locality, raising the responsibility of the leaders, not being subjective, negligent in leadership and direction to let the disease break out and last, according to VTV.

From March 2024 to present, Quang Binh province has 7 communes in 4 districts and cities with African swine fever. During this period of erratic weather, the risk of the disease spreading is very high. Quang Binh province has proactively implemented "5 no's" to prevent the disease. In addition, raising people's awareness, having a safe and closed livestock farming plan, to prevent the disease from spreading widely in the coming time.

*Price of live pigs in the Southern market

The trading price of live pigs in the Southern region decreased by VND 1,000/kg in Dong Thap province, currently at VND 61,000/kg.

The remaining provinces and cities remained stable.

In the Southern region today, the purchase price fluctuates between 61,000 - 64,000 VND/kg.

*According to the report on price and market management in July 2024, the Ministry of Finance said: Compared to the previous month, in general, prices of goods in July were basically stable, with abundant supply of goods.

However, there are still some items with slight fluctuations such as: pork price decreased due to the summer season.
