Bac Lieu has 11 destinations out of a total of 54 typical tourist destinations in the Mekong Delta region, and is considered a locality with great potential and strengths in developing ecotourism and cultural and religious tourism.
Over the past five years, the number of tourists visiting Bac Lieu has increased rapidly. In the first six months of 2024 alone, Bac Lieu's tourism industry welcomed approximately 3,110,000 visitors, including 1,220,000 who used accommodation services and about 66,150 international tourists, generating revenue of 2,560 billion VND.
To achieve the above results, Bac Lieu's tourism industry has always focused on promoting tourism, developing new tourism products; and prioritizing the improvement of tourism service quality and training of the workforce in the tourism sector.
Tourist destinations and tourism service businesses in the province have consistently invested in infrastructure, equipment, and tourism personnel, gradually improving the quality of service for tourists visiting Bac Lieu.

The Cao Van Lau Theater and Bac Lieu Provincial Cultural and Art Exhibition Center, shaped like three of the largest conical hats in Vietnam with their roofs facing each other, covers a total area of 2,262 m2. The tallest structure is 24.25 m high, with a diameter of 45.15 m. The roof is made of composite material and is located in Hung Vuong Square, Ward 1, Bac Lieu City. This is a must-see destination for tourists visiting Bac Lieu.

The Ho Chi Minh Memorial Temple, located in Ba Chang A hamlet, Chau Thoi commune, Vinh Loi district, about 5 km southwest of Vinh Loi district center and more than 20 km west of Bac Lieu city center, was recognized as a national historical relic in 1998 and is one of the most valuable cultural heritage sites of Bac Lieu province.
The temple complex is built on an 11,000m2 plot of land with main structures including: the Ho Chi Minh Memorial Temple, the temple's protective structure, the exhibition hall, the auditorium and offices, the service area, and a garden planted with various types of greenery. Within the grounds, the site is highlighted by a fragrant lotus pond.

Xiêm Cán Pagoda in Bac Lieu City was built in 1887 with unique Angkorian architecture, on a spacious grounds of 50,000 square meters. The complex includes the main hall, sala, monks' quarters, stupa containing relics, and shrines. Visiting Xiêm Cán Pagoda in Bac Lieu, tourists can admire a beautiful and large-scale architectural work and experience the very distinctive cultural nuances of the Southern Khmer people.

The Bac Lieu Wind Power Tourist Area is a relatively new tourist destination, having emerged in recent years. The wind power plant, completed with hundreds of blades, can be seen from a distance of about ten kilometers, with the turbine towers and rotating blades resembling giant windmills against the sky.

The Ho Nam Eco-tourism Area in Bac Lieu is chosen by tourists from near and far as an ideal and unmissable destination. Ghositaram Pagoda, the most beautiful Khmer pagoda in the Southwestern region of Vietnam, was built in 1860. The pagoda follows the Theravada Buddhist tradition, with elaborately constructed and decorated towers above the main hall. The eaves and side walls are adorned with depictions of Khmer cultural symbols and images from the life of Buddha. Inside the main hall, there are numerous intricate carvings, sculptures, reliefs, and patterns of high artistic value. Within the pagoda grounds, there are also two flagpoles over 40 meters high, two stupas containing the remains of Buddhist followers from generations past, a crematorium, and many other supporting structures.

The Noc Nang field historical site was built on the location of the uprising led by the Muoi Chuc brothers in the Noc Nang field (Phong Thanh commune, Gia Rai district, Bac Lieu province) nearly a century ago. It was an uprising against the colonial government and its collaborators, which resonated throughout Indochina.
To commemorate their glorious achievements in particular and those of the farmers of Noc Nang in general, Bac Lieu province has built a historical site on a large grounds, recreating scenes of the daily life and struggles of Bac Lieu farmers in the past, contributing to helping the younger generation better understand the struggle of Southern Vietnamese farmers against the harsh rule of colonialism and feudalism.

Nha Mat Beach Tourist Area, located in Nha Mat Ward, Bac Lieu City, covers an area of over 20 hectares along the coast. It is the largest and most famous eco-tourism, resort, and entertainment complex in Bac Lieu province. The century-old longan orchard in Bac Lieu is the most unique longan orchard in the Mekong Delta, a source of pride for the local people and a major attraction for visitors from afar. The orchard covers approximately 230 hectares, stretching over 1 km across two communes, Hiep Thanh and Vinh Trach Dong, in Bac Lieu city.

With its high biodiversity, the Bac Lieu Bird Sanctuary, located in Hiep Thanh commune, 6 km south of Bac Lieu city, was recognized as a nature reserve in 1986. The Bac Lieu Bird Sanctuary is an important nesting ground for many species of waterbirds, including the common duck, egret, heron, bittern, cormorant, blackbird, and many others. These birds typically gather in large numbers during the rainy season from May to October, nesting in trees until around January before flying elsewhere and returning to the sanctuary in May or June.
