TPO - Land clearance for the Dau Giay - Tan Phu expressway project is being carried out on a full-scale basis, requiring a total land area of approximately 378 hectares. Localities through which the project passes are currently developing investment projects to build resettlement areas for residents.
The Acting Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Nai province, Vo Tan Duc, has just requested the leaders of the localities through which the Dau Giay - Tan Phu expressway passes (including Thong Nhat, Dinh Quan, Xuan Loc, and Tan Phu districts) to prepare human resources and plan the construction of resettlement areas to implement land clearance for the project.

The Dau Giay - Tan Phu expressway will alleviate congestion on National Highway 20. |
According to the approval decision of the Ministry of Transport , the Dau Giay - Tan Phu expressway is over 60km long. The starting point of the route is at the intersection with National Highway 1, connecting to the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway (Dau Giay town, Thong Nhat district); the end point is at Km60+243.83 (at the end of the intersection with National Highway 20), connecting to the Tan Phu - Bao Loc expressway (Phu Trung commune, Tan Phu district).
In Phase 1, the Dau Giay - Tan Phu expressway has a limited 4-lane capacity, without a continuous emergency stopping lane, and a roadbed width of 17m. In the completed phase, the route will have 4 lanes, with a continuous emergency stopping lane, a 24m cross-section, and a design speed of 100km/h. The route includes 26 overpasses crossing intersections, 4 bridges on interchange branches; 24 pedestrian underpasses; and 31km of service roads on both sides, combined with pedestrian underpasses and overpasses, ensuring traffic connectivity and minimizing impact on the lives of residents along the route.
The project has a total investment of nearly 9 trillion VND, including nearly 7.7 trillion VND mobilized by investors and 1.3 trillion VND from the State. The Dau Giay - Tan Phu expressway project includes the construction of rest stops at Km40, with a scale of 3 hectares on each side. The cost of land acquisition for the rest stops is included in the total project investment. The project is expected to commence at the end of 2024.
According to the People's Committee of Dong Nai province, the Dau Giay - Tan Phu expressway runs entirely within Dong Nai province. Therefore, the locality will be responsible for land clearance to facilitate the project's construction. For this project, land clearance will be carried out on a full-scale basis, requiring approximately 378 hectares of land.
In the localities where the project passes through, land clearance and resettlement are being implemented. Specifically, Thong Nhat district is currently constructing three resettlement areas. However, since the project only passes through farmland and rubber plantations, resettlement for residents is not required.
In Dinh Quan district, the number of households needing resettlement is very small, but the local authorities have proactively planned resettlement areas to serve the resettlement needs of the people.
In Tan Phu district, to serve the Dau Giay - Tan Phu Expressway Project, the local authorities have to acquire approximately 125 hectares of land, affecting about 86 households. Of these, 60 households require resettlement. In addition, Tan Phu district also has to resettle approximately 120 households affected by the Tan Phu - Bao Loc Expressway Project.
Currently, the Tan Phu District People's Committee has assigned the District Investment Project Management Board to develop an investment project for the construction of a 12-hectare resettlement area in Phu Binh commune to provide resettlement for the people.
