Travelife is a leading international certification for sustainable tourism development, recognized globally. Currently, more than 35 national tourism associations worldwide are collaborating to implement this program for their members, including: ABTA (British Association of Travel Agents), PATA (Pacific Asia Travel Association), KATO (Kenya Tour Operators Association), TATO (Tanzania Tour Operators Association), and FTT in South Africa.

Travelife's standards encompass the ISO 26000 social responsibility management system covering the environment, biodiversity, fair business practices, human rights , and employee-employee relations.

To achieve this title, in addition to continuous efforts in long-term development strategy and business orientation, and a commitment to action always closely linked to sustainability and social responsibility as a leading travel company in Vietnam, Saigontourist Travel has strived to implement 147 criteria related to the management and operation of its system of 18 branches and 24 transaction offices nationwide; building and developing a diverse range of domestic and international products; building a global network of business partners; and managing customer information data.

Naut Kusters, Travelife's Partner Program Manager for travel businesses, affirmed: "I believe that the Travelife Partner award given to Saigontourist Travel will make a significant contribution to encouraging travel businesses in Vietnam to focus on and strive towards sustainability criteria."

According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Luu, General Director of Saigontourist Travel Service Company, Saigontourist has proactively implemented green and responsible tourism products across all business segments (international tourism, domestic tourism, and outbound tourism). This strategy and development direction aligns with global tastes and trends.

Congratulations to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Luu, General Director of Saigontourist Travel Service Company (on the left), and Mr. Tran Ngoc Liem, Director of the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry.

Today's tourists not only demand professional services but also require tour products that reflect responsibility towards the local community and environment. This is clearly evident in every service, attraction, and experiential activity that tourists participate in.

“With the high level of awareness among individual travelers, the widespread and rapid reach of information channels such as social media and destination review sites, the understanding and cooperation of each domestic and international traveler are helping Saigontourist Travel's "Green Living - Green Tourism - Sustainable Growth" strategy stay on track and comprehensively meet Travelife's criteria,” Mr. Nguyen Thanh Luu emphasized.

Over the years, many of Saigontourist's green and sustainable activities have been highly appreciated by tourists and the community, such as joining hands to plant white mangrove trees in Long Hoa commune, Can Gio; planting pine trees in Lac Duong district, Da Lat; planting willow trees at the K20 revolutionary base - Da Nang; planting cypress trees in Cuc Phuong National Park, Ninh Binh…

At the same time, from the beginning of 2024, Saigontourist Travel launched the campaign "Buy 1 tour - Contribute 1 tree - Where there are trees, there is a forest," meaning that every tourist nationwide who buys a tour will contribute one tree to the company's "Live Green - Travel Green" tree planting program.

In addition, based on the collaboration with the Endangered Wildlife Protection (STW) project, within the framework of the announcement ceremony, Saigontourist Travel Service Company simultaneously issued an official statement supporting the fight against illegal wildlife trafficking in Vietnam.

At this event, Ms. Michelle Owen, Director of the Endangered Wildlife Protection Project Office (STW Project - WWF), assessed the role of the tourism industry in preventing and combating illegal wildlife trafficking and congratulated the two organizations for their commitment to supporting activities and initiatives aimed at reducing demand and combating the illegal trade and consumption of wildlife products in Vietnam.

This important initiative marks another step forward for Saigontourist Travel in proactively combating illegal wildlife trafficking, contributing to the goal of Vietnam no longer being a destination for wildlife products.

In its tour programs, Saigontourist Travel always encourages and works with customers to protect the environment, clean up trash on beaches and in forest areas at tourist destinations, and combine this with planting trees to green barren hills and empty land.

Many domestic and international businesses have collaborated with Saigontourist Travel to organize tour programs that combine large-scale environmental protection activities such as waste treatment in coastal areas and reforestation.

In particular, the company's network of partners is also ready to sign a commitment to minimize all forms of harm to the living environment and improve air and water quality, and increase symbiotic benefits in the human-nature-biological-animal community.
