Tan Thuan Data Center receives Uptime Sustainable Operations certification.

To obtain the Uptime Institute's Sustainable Operation certification, CMC Telecom underwent an 8-month preparation and implementation process. With the efforts of the Data Center (DC) operations team, from infrastructure construction and modification to completion, along with over 100 standardized procedures and documents, the Tan Thuan Data Center successfully met 89 stringent standards within the Uptime assessment framework. CMC Data Center Tan Thuan received its Sustainable Operation certification on the morning of August 7th, 2024.

At the time of its opening in August 2022, CMC Data Center Tan Thuan was the first data center in Vietnam to simultaneously hold two important Uptime Tier III certifications: Design and Construction. After two years, CMC's engineering team has further demonstrated to the Uptime Institute that Vietnamese data center operation capabilities have reached the highest level according to global standards, meeting all the rigorous criteria for evaluating the sustainable operation of data centers – Tier Certification of Operational Sustainability (TCOS) of the Uptime Institute. The Uptime TCOS certification, issued by the Uptime Institute, focuses on evaluating and certifying the sustainable operation of data centers. This certification not only examines the design and construction of the data center but also assesses operational and management aspects to ensure that the data center can maintain stable and continuous operation over the long term. The Uptime Institute is a leading global organization with a recognized certification system that serves as a global benchmark for assessing the overall readiness and performance of data centers, from design and construction to operation. According to the Uptime Institute, even data storage powerhouses in Asia such as Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong (China), and Japan still lack Tier 3 TCOS data centers. Tan Thuan Data Center proudly stands among the few data centers in Asia to simultaneously hold all three certifications: Design, Construction, and Operation.

CMC Telecom has learned a great deal from these tests, understanding the core principles of sustainable operation according to the highest international standards.” In June 2024, CMC Data Center Tan Thuan became the first data center in Vietnam to achieve Level 4 Information System Security certification, assessed by the Ministry of Information and Communications in coordination with the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of National Defense.
