National Assembly Deputies of Ben Tre Province met with voters of Giong Trom before the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly

Attending the event were Deputy Head of the Culture and Social Affairs Committee of the Provincial People's Council Ho Thi Tuyet Minh, along with representatives of provincial departments and agencies. On the district side, there were Vice Chairman of the District People's Council Nguyen Van Duc, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee Dinh Thi Thanh Nhanh, representatives of departments, agencies, and units of the district and more than 200 voters of the above communes.

At the meeting, voters watched a report on the activities of the National Assembly Delegation of Ben Tre province since the 8th session of the 15th National Assembly until now and the expected program of the 9th session of the 15th National Assembly.

Voters in the communes raised a number of opinions, many voters were interested and agreed, and were excited about the results achieved by the National Assembly Delegation of Ben Tre province in the past time. Voters expressed their interest and support for the policy of arranging and merging administrative units towards the development of localities, however, there should be solutions to create favorable conditions for people in traveling, implementing administrative procedures, improving the capacity of grassroots officials, strengthening information and propaganda so that people can quickly grasp information, creating consensus among the people. It is necessary to soon deploy works and projects to prevent salinity in the area; some opinions related to granting land use rights; policies for people with meritorious services; control of counterfeit goods on the market... Representatives of provincial agencies, district departments and committees, and National Assembly Deputies of Ben Tre province answered and clarified some issues raised by voters.

Speaking at the meeting with voters, Tran Thi Thanh Lam, member of the National Assembly's Committee for Culture and Society, informed that the merger of the province will not affect key projects for economic and social development, including works and projects to prevent salinity in the area. The member of the National Assembly's Committee for Culture and Society also hopes that people will proactively increase measures to store fresh water and prevent salinity in cultivation and daily life to share difficulties with the locality in the process of organizing and implementing this task. As well as being proactive in preventing and fighting epidemics to protect crops and livestock; functional agencies also need to continue to widely propagate to the people appropriate solutions in production and farming.

Regarding housing care for policy families, people with meritorious services to the disadvantaged, in recent years, provincial leaders and sectors, levels and benefactors have paid great attention to this content. The Provincial People's Committee has also assigned provincial and district sectors to urgently complete 1,031 houses according to the policy, which is currently being implemented throughout the province. Member of the National Assembly's Committee for Culture and Society Tran Thi Thanh Lam hopes that localities and communes with lists of disadvantaged households to eliminate temporary houses will urgently implement them to ensure progress and quality according to plan. The member of the National Assembly's Committee for Culture and Society also informed about some contents in the upcoming 9th session of the 15th National Assembly.

National Assembly Delegate of Ben Tre province presented a symbolic board to support house construction for households in difficult circumstances.

On this occasion, the National Assembly Delegation of Ben Tre province mobilized Ben Tre Lottery Company Limited to donate 3 gratitude houses (worth 70 million VND/house) and Agribank Ben Tre Branch donated 1 charity house (worth 60 million VND) to policy households and poor households in Giong Trom district.
