On April 29, the Provincial Border Guard Party Committee held a conference to review 10 years of implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TW, dated May 15, 2016 of the Politburo "On promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle" and 10 years of implementing Resolution No. 347-NQ/QUTW, dated May 23, 2015 of the Central Military Commission on "Improving the quality of research, forecasting and strategic defense advice to 2020 and beyond". Colonel Vu Van Hung, Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard, chaired the conference. Also attending were Colonel Nguyen Quang Hoa, Commander of the Provincial Border Guard; comrades in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Border Guard Party Committee.

In the period of 2016-2025, the Party Committee and the Provincial Border Guard Command have focused on leading and implementing the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle in a strict, serious, practical and effective manner.

Based on the guidance of superiors at all levels, every year, the Provincial Border Guard Party Committee promptly develops a plan to thoroughly grasp and seriously study the topics on studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle; making the content of studying the topics part of the annual political education plan to teach cadres and soldiers of agencies and units. Thereby, cadres, party members and the masses in the unit have had a deep awareness, a high sense of responsibility, voluntarily studying and following Uncle Ho through specific, practical daily actions; contributing to building exemplary clean and strong party organizations, "exemplary, exemplary" comprehensively strong units, successfully completing all assigned tasks.

The effective implementation of Directive 05 of the Politburo has created a positive and comprehensive change in the results of completing the tasks of the Provincial Border Guard. Over the past 10 years, the Provincial Border Guard has been repeatedly commended by superiors at all levels. The entire unit has hundreds of collectives and thousands of individuals being commended at all levels.

At the conference, delegates shared many experiences in effective implementation and proposed a number of solutions to continue innovating the content, form, and methods of organizing the study and dissemination of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style; promoting the role and responsibility of cadres, party members, and the masses in performing tasks, especially the exemplary responsibility of cadres at all levels. Delegates also proposed solutions to continue to do a good job of fostering and expanding advanced models in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style in the coming time... Thereby continuing to contribute to building a strong and exemplary Party cell organization, a comprehensively strong unit "Exemplary, typical", meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation.

On this occasion, the Provincial Border Guard Party Committee awarded certificates of merit to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in 10 years of implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TW of the Politburo on "Promoting studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle", period 2016-2025.

On the same day, the Provincial Border Guard Command Party Committee held a conference to summarize 10 years of implementing Resolution No. 347-NQ/QUTW, dated May 23, 2015 of the Central Military Commission on "Improving the quality of research, forecasting and strategic defense advice to 2020 and the following years".

Over the past 10 years, the Provincial Border Guard Party Committee and Command have proactively advised and proposed to the Border Guard High Command Party Committee, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee and the Border Guard Party Committee to propose policies and measures to lead and direct research, forecast, and advise on the management and protection of territorial sovereignty, national border security, seas and islands, and border gates, building a revolutionary, elite, and gradually modern provincial Border Guard; improving the Border Guard's capacity for State management of national borders, coordinating with all levels, sectors, localities, and forces in performing the task of managing and protecting national borders, maintaining political security, and social order and safety in border areas.

The Provincial Party Committee and Border Guard Command have directed Border Guard Stations to preside over and coordinate with local armed forces agencies and units to regularly patrol, control, manage and protect the border and border gates; grasp the situation, promptly detect, prevent and handle propaganda, distortion, violations and sabotage of the national border. Organize the fight against activities violating territorial sovereignty and border security; deploy programs and technical measures to protect the national border; develop and organize the implementation of projects, plans and schemes, build a people's border defense posture in a people's national defense posture associated with a solid people's security posture.

At the conference, delegates participated in the discussion, focusing on in-depth analysis, clarifying the achieved results, limitations, causes, lessons learned and proposing directions to continue effectively implementing the Resolution in the coming time.
