(Dan Tri) - In just 9 days, Sun Phu Quoc Airways has welcomed 3 out of 8 Airbus A321 aircraft. The airline's modern fleet is gradually being completed, ready for the milestone of opening ticket sales in October and commercial takeoff in November.

On the morning of August 19, at Noi Bai International Airport, the moment when two Airbus A321CEOs - one of the most successful aircraft models in the history of commercial aviation - landed simultaneously received the attention of the aviation and media world.

Just 9 days after welcoming the first Airbus A321NX on August 10, Sun PhuQuoc Airways continued to add 2 more aircraft, increasing the fleet to 3 out of 8 aircraft as planned in 2025.

The series of images from the ceremony not only marked an important milestone but also showed more clearly the brand image of the airline that is expected to create a turning point for Phu Quoc and the Vietnamese market, while also demonstrating the airline's great determination to quickly realize the goal of commercial exploitation in November this year.

The cameras captured the full image of the A321CEO wings gliding across the Hanoi sky before touching Noi Bai runway and being welcomed with a traditional water cannon ceremony.

On a white background, the words “Sun Phuquoc Airways” stand out in their signature red color, next to the Vietnamese flag - as a proud declaration of the Vietnamese brand. The letter “Q” is shaped like the sun rising from the sea, with the base of the letter stylized in the shape of Phu Quoc - as an invitation for tourists to come to the pearl island.

The 9-petal symbol at the tail of the plane symbolizes 9 connections and 9 service values of Sun PhuQuoc Airways.

With a fuselage diameter of 3.95m and a cabin width of 3.70m, the A321CEO offers class-leading spaciousness. This design allows for standard 18-inch wide seats and wide aisles.

The cabin is designed with the passenger experience at the heart of it. The large overhead bins allow cabin-sized suitcases to be placed vertically, maximizing storage capacity.

Large, strategically placed windows flood the cabin with natural light, while anti-eye strain LED lighting helps reduce jet lag on long flights.

With an effective flight range of up to 5,950km, the A321CEO offers operational flexibility: suitable for both domestic and high-density regional routes, and capable of effectively serving medium-haul international routes from Phu Quoc to Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia...

SPA's two A321CEO aircraft are equipped with CFM International CFM56-5B engines - the world's most famous commercial engine line for reliability, chosen by hundreds of large and small airlines.

The improved DAC (Double Annular Combustor) combustion chamber significantly reduces NOx emissions, while the engine core structure is inherited and upgraded from previous generations, optimally balancing durability and fuel efficiency.

The engine fully meets ICAO's stringent environmental standards on emissions and noise, and is capable of using sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in its blend, demonstrating SPA's commitment to green and environmentally friendly operations.

Previously, on August 10, Sun PhuQuoc Airways welcomed the first Airbus A321NX aircraft at Phu Quoc International Airport. The aircraft was manufactured and delivered 100% new from Airbus's factory in Hamburg (Germany).

The latest version of the A321 family, the A321NX, features a comprehensively improved passenger cabin. The aircraft uses the new generation LEAP-1A engine, providing outstanding operating efficiency: up to 20% fuel savings, 50% reduction in CO₂ emissions and 75% reduction in noise compared to the previous generation. This engine line is highly appreciated by many experts for its reliability, stable operation and safety.

With a modern fleet of aircraft and a distinct strategy centered on Phu Quoc, expanding its direct flight network to domestic and international tourist and economic destinations, Sun PhuQuoc Airways opens up opportunities for all tourists to reach the island paradise of Phu Quoc more easily, with flexible mechanisms, reasonable fares and worthy services.
