Ha Tinh: Awarding scholarships and sponsorship funds to children in difficult circumstances

On the morning of August 21, at the Hall of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ha Tinh province, the Women's Union of Ha Tinh province coordinated with agencies, businesses, and philanthropists to organize the program "Awarding scholarships and sponsorship funds to children in difficult circumstances" on the occasion of the new school year 2025 - 2026.

Speaking at the program, comrade Truong Thi Luong - Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union, Head of the Women's Affairs Department of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee affirmed: Over the past years, caring for orphans and children in difficult circumstances has always been a continuous, humane task that the Women's Union at all levels has paid special attention to.

With the spirit of sharing and responsibility, the Association at all levels has proactively connected and mobilized resources from agencies, businesses, organizations and individuals inside and outside the province, promptly awarded thousands of gifts, scholarships and practical support, adding motivation for the children to firmly step on the journey of overcoming difficulties and rising up in life.

At the program, the Provincial Women's Union in collaboration with accompanying units presented 59 gifts and sponsorship funds for the third and fourth quarters, with a total value of more than 172 million VND. The gifts included cash, school supplies, toys... to provide more conditions and motivation for the children to confidently enter the new school year, overcome difficulties, and strive to study well.

In particular, Hoang Gia Phat Trading and Investment Joint Stock Company has announced its decision to provide long-term sponsorship for 10 orphans in especially difficult circumstances in the communes and wards of Song Tri, Vung Ang, Toan Luu, and Thach Xuan with a support level of 420 million VND, committed to maintaining until the children turn 18 years old.

In emotion and gratitude, Nguyen Thi Hoai Thuong (Quynh Son village, Cam Lac commune) representing the children receiving gifts and scholarships shared: "My circumstances are not as fortunate as many children, but thanks to the care of the Ha Tinh Women's Union and the uncles and aunts, we have been enlightened with faith, determination and aspiration to rise up. I promise to constantly try to study, practice and live well, to live a useful life for society to be worthy of the love and expectations that you have given us."

The representative of the Ha Tinh Provincial Women's Union expressed sincere thanks to the leaders, businesses, organizations and kind-hearted individuals who have always accompanied, shared and actively supported the work of caring for children in difficult circumstances over the past time. The Union also expressed the wish to continue receiving such valuable companionship in the coming time, joining hands for a bright future for children in the province.
