Inspired by the country's important days

- Your new work praising the country's rivers and mountains that is making waves on the music charts begins with the call "Oh Vietnam, love the voice where I live...". Such a great feeling seems to originate from such simple things?

My love for my country began very early, like a seed sown during the flag-raising ceremonies at the beginning of the week in the middle of the school yard, when the red flag with yellow star was raised to the sound of the National Anthem and the Team Song. Teachers and school ignited in me the first buds of love for my homeland.

Growing up, I realized that love is not just something that is taught. It is like DNA deep in the veins of every Vietnamese person. Every time I set foot on the sacred lands of the fatherland, my heart is filled with pride, a sense of gratitude: I am Vietnamese, carrying within me the blood of courage, resilience, and determination.

Perhaps it was from those deep layers of my subconscious that when I wrote this song, the call “Oh Vietnam, love the voice where I live…” rang out in me like a call from the unconscious. And just like that, each lyric flowed out for me to write “Vietnam - Proudly Stepping Forward to the Future”.

Love of country blossoms early in each person, like a seed sown in the purest memories.

- It seems to be a challenge for you to continue choosing the big theme of love for the country after the success of the song "Continuing the story of peace ". What inspired you to pursue that theme?

This song, as well as “Continuing the story of peace”, are all the emotions that welled up in me during the important days of the country.

If “Continuing the story of peace” is a song that makes us think about the past, be grateful for the past, then “Vietnam - Proudly stepping forward into the future” is a continuation, carrying a different source of energy, a general encouragement, a call to arms, so that we can together take quick, steady and positive steps towards a brighter, better future. A future in which our country will become a dragon, rising to become one of the leading powerful countries in Asia, with a position in the world .

I want to convey many messages through simple words. I write for the mornings when my country changes.

Desire to connect Vietnamese hearts through music

- Can you share more specifically about the process of composing this song?

One of the special catalysts that came to me very unexpectedly was when I had the opportunity to talk and listen to the sharing of the leaders of the National Citizen Commercial Joint Stock Bank - NCB. Their sincere and passionate concerns about national pride and the responsibility to accompany the country in the changing era touched my emotions.

I realized that, not only artists, but in any field, if we share the same ideal for the Fatherland, then every effort, whether silent or strong, in any field, deserves to be honored. And music is the way I spread that. From that meeting, I wrote this song to connect the hearts of Vietnamese people, to write the story of national pride through music.

Even more wonderful, when I thought of the singer who would perform this song during the process of conceiving the work and asked singer Tung Duong, Tung Duong happily accepted immediately.

The song "Vietnam - Proudly Stepping Forward to the Future" is a call to arms, arousing aspirations.

- How do you express the national spirit and patriotism in this song?

“Vietnam - Proudly Stepping Forward to the Future” brings fresh energy like the morning light, arousing positivity, excitement, encouraging an effective working day, for a journey of continuous progress forward. It is a bright and inspiring picture, also a call, arousing aspirations, urging strong, decisive steps.

I wrote “Redrawing the homeland, for the pride of the whole nation”. This lyric reflects the Party and State’s policy of “rearranging the country” – a historic step.

I simply write what I feel, what I want to convey, in the most innocent, pure and sincere way. And I hope the purity of that source of emotion will be fully transmitted to the audience.
