Also attending were representatives from the Ministries of: National Defence, Public Security, Foreign Affairs, Planning and Investment, Finance, Construction, Culture, Sports and Tourism, Interior, Justice, Information and Communications; the Government Office and the People's Committee of Hanoi City.

Over the past period, the Mausoleum Management Board has effectively fulfilled its function of advising the Party, the State, the Prime Minister, the Central Military Commission, and the Ministry of National Defense on the task of long-term preservation and absolute protection of President Ho Chi Minh's remains; receiving, publicizing, and providing thoughtful and safe services to compatriots and international visitors coming to pay respects to President Ho Chi Minh and commemorate the heroic martyrs; solemnly conducting the daily flag-raising ceremony in front of the Mausoleum and providing military band services at state-level ceremonies and ceremonies honoring President Ho Chi Minh by heads of state.

The Management Board, in coordination with relevant agencies and the city of Hanoi, implements measures to ensure hygiene, decorate with flowers and ornamental plants, and install propaganda billboards on streets in the area during anniversaries, holidays, and Tet (Lunar New Year), contributing to maintaining the environmental landscape of the Mausoleum, Ba Dinh Square, and the Monument to the Heroes and Martyrs, ensuring they remain clean, tidy, and beautiful.

From August 15, 2023 to July 31, 2024, the Mausoleum Management Board welcomed nearly 2 million Vietnamese and international visitors to pay respects to President Ho Chi Minh; and nearly 14,000 visitors to the Monument to the Heroes and Martyrs.

In the first six months of 2024, the Management Board also welcomed more than 1.6 million visitors to the Ho Chi Minh Presidential Palace Historical Site; and more than 430,000 visitors to the Ho Chi Minh Museum.

In particular, the Mausoleum Management Board proactively developed plans, made thorough preparations in terms of human resources, materials, and methods; coordinated and implemented the periodic renovation of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in 2024, ensuring absolute quality, safety, and adherence to the set schedule.

This included completing the major embalming task for President Ho Chi Minh's remains according to proper procedures and with absolute safety; and carrying out maintenance and repair of the technical equipment and architectural systems of the Mausoleum.

After the restoration, President Ho Chi Minh's remains continue to be preserved in the best possible condition; the technical equipment system operates stably, accurately, and reliably, ensuring a sufficient redundancy; and the landscape and architecture of the Mausoleum and its surrounding structures are more spacious, clean, and beautiful.

After inspecting the results of the 2024 periodic renovation work on the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, and working with the Management Board of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, relevant ministries and agencies, and the city of Hanoi, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that the beloved President Ho Chi Minh was a national liberation hero, a world cultural figure, a brilliant leader, and a great teacher of the Vietnamese revolution, who dedicated his entire life to serving the country and the people.

He symbolizes the cultural essence of the Vietnamese nation, representing the noblest values ​​of the Vietnamese soul, character, will, and resilience; he is a shining example of revolutionary moral qualities; and he is a beautiful image of the close and intimate relationship between the leader and the people, between our nation and the nations of the world.

To international friends, President Ho Chi Minh was an outstanding communist fighter, a close comrade and friend, as Cuban President Fidel Castro once remarked in 1969: "...His life is a shining example of the most revolutionary and noble qualities..."; or as Russian President Putin wrote in 2013: "...Ho Chi Minh's ideological and moral values ​​remain a torch, a symbol for a future culture...".

According to the Prime Minister, the Ba Dinh historical and cultural complex, including the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the Ho Chi Minh Memorial Area at the Presidential Palace, the Ho Chi Minh Museum, and the Ba Dinh Special Administrative and Political Area, has immense significance and value for the country.

The long-term preservation and absolute protection of President Ho Chi Minh's remains, as well as the preservation, restoration, and promotion of the value of the historical complex, is both a noble responsibility and a source of pride, reflecting the affection of our people for President Ho Chi Minh and the historical traditions of the nation.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated the Mausoleum Management Board and the ministries, departments, and Hanoi city for their work in preserving and ensuring the absolute safety of President Ho Chi Minh's remains; organizing the reception and providing thoughtful service to a large number of compatriots and international visitors coming to pay respects to President Ho Chi Minh; and providing thoughtful and solemn reception and service to delegations of heads of state and high-ranking leaders from other countries coming to pay respects to President Ho Chi Minh and the heroic martyrs.

Actively and strictly implement the conclusions of the Prime Minister regarding the drafting of the Ordinance on the Management and Protection of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Complex and advise on the consolidation of the Steering Committee for coordinating activities of the Ba Dinh historical and cultural relic complex.

On behalf of the Government, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh commended and highly appreciated the efforts, dedication, sense of responsibility, and achievements of the collective of officials, civil servants, employees, soldiers, and workers of the Mausoleum Management Board and other agencies, units, and individuals performing tasks within the Ba Dinh Historical and Cultural Relic Complex.

Pointing out existing shortcomings and limitations that need to be overcome in coordination and organization for Vietnamese people and international visitors to pay respects to President Ho Chi Minh; digital transformation; land clearance; communication, etc., the Prime Minister said that in the coming time, the country will have many important events such as the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 – August 19, 2025) and National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025); the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025)...

The Prime Minister requested that ministries, departments, the city of Hanoi, and the Mausoleum Management Board coordinate closely, proactively, and make greater efforts to promote creativity and innovation so that the space of Ba Dinh Square and the relics related to President Ho Chi Minh and the Martyrs' Memorial Area will forever remain a place of cultural and political activity and a place for every Vietnamese citizen to return to when coming to Hanoi and to pay respects to President Ho Chi Minh.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the Ba Dinh Historical and Cultural Relic Complex is a significant site for educating about revolutionary traditions; fostering fervent patriotism; instilling loyalty to national interests; providing motivation and inspiration for soldiers and citizens nationwide; instilling pride in the great President Ho Chi Minh and the glorious historical and cultural traditions of the nation; and demonstrating the strong inherent spiritual and material strength of the nation.

Therefore, the Prime Minister requested the Management Board to continue upholding its glorious traditions and sense of responsibility to the Party, the State, and the people, constantly improving its capabilities so that under all conditions it can best fulfill the task of long-term preservation and absolute protection of President Ho Chi Minh's remains.

Assigning tasks to each ministry, sector, unit, and the city of Hanoi to proactively and actively coordinate more smoothly, synchronously, and closely with the Mausoleum Management Board to best promote the historical and cultural values ​​of the relics in the Ba Dinh Historical and Cultural Relic Complex; at the same time, effectively resolving issues related to land clearance for the building area south of the lawn of Ba Dinh Square, drafting the Ordinance on the Management and Protection of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Relic Complex, implementing digital transformation and consolidating the Steering Committee for coordinating activities of the Ba Dinh Historical and Cultural Relic Complex…, the Prime Minister hopes and believes that the Mausoleum Management Board and the ministries, sectors, and the city of Hanoi will continue to highly promote the traditions and achievements, and strive even harder to better fulfill the assigned tasks so that the Ba Dinh Historical and Cultural Relic Complex becomes increasingly more spacious, beautiful, modern, and enhances its inherent strength…
