Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh inspects the progress of key projects.

According to Dong Phuoc An, Director of the Hanoi City Civil Construction Investment Project Management Board, the project's work has been basically completed according to schedule. To put the project into operation, there are still obstacles related to traffic connectivity and traffic management in the hospital area; and the construction of connections and water supply for the project…

At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha stated that the Hanoi Children's Hospital project is scheduled to be inaugurated and officially put into operation on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of Hanoi (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024). Therefore, the project must complete fire safety acceptance testing in August 2024; and efforts should be made to expedite the completion of construction packages and handover for trial operation before September 15th.

Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha also suggested separating the standards, norms, and equipment requirements for the hospital to expedite implementation. At the same time, relevant agencies need to ensure the synchronized organization of traffic and urban planning in the hospital area; and promptly include in the public investment list the transportation project connecting Hanoi Children's Hospital and neighboring projects.

Commending and appreciating the efforts of the Hanoi City Civil Construction Investment Project Management Board, relevant departments, Ha Dong district, and the contractor Vinaconex, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh requested that the units be determined to ensure the highest level of completion both inside and outside the hospital grounds; review the project progress, and in special cases, adopt a special approach to ensure the project's progress.

Along with emphasizing the need to enhance the responsibility of leaders and the determination to jointly inaugurate the project on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of Hanoi, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh also requested relevant departments to pay attention to the qualifications and capabilities of the medical staff to ensure healthcare for the people; to ensure clean air, water supply and wastewater treatment for the hospital. At the same time, maintaining security, safety, and urban order, and continuing the socialization in completing the infrastructure and facilities for the hospital.

The Nhon - Hanoi Station urban railway line will operate free of charge for 15 days.

At the Hanoi City pilot urban railway project, Nhon - Hanoi Station section, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh inspected the actual operation of the project at Station No. 1 (Nhon Station) to Station No. 8 (Cau Giay Station); and inspected the underground drilling construction work at package CP03 of the project.

Reporting on the project's progress, the Head of the Hanoi Urban Railway Management Board, Nguyen Cao Minh, stated that the entire elevated section of the project (from Nho Son station to Cau Giay station) has been completed, installed, and tested, and the acceptance process has been completed, making it ready for commercial operation. The elevated section of the project has completed construction, testing, and all legal procedures, and is ready for commercial operation.

For the underground section, from station S9 to station S12, including the underground section after station S8 to station S9, the overall progress has reached 43.5%. Construction activities are taking place at all sites. Specifically, station S10 is undergoing exterior structural work, station S11 is working on waterproofing the bottom slab, and station S12 is installing reinforcement for the top slab… According to the plan, tunnel drilling and installation will be completed in November 2025. The entire underground section of the project will be completed in December 2027.

According to Hanoi Metro General Director Vu Hong Truong, the company has received 10 train sets, with 6 expected to be operational. The company will flexibly manage personnel between the two lines (Nhon - Hanoi Station line and Cat Linh - Ha Dong line). Since August 6th, the company has been operating trains according to schedule, from 5:30 AM to 10:00 PM.

Leaders of relevant departments also informed that the Nhon - Hanoi Station urban railway line currently operates an elevated section of approximately 8.5km, and funding for the trains has been allocated. After the underground section is completed, the entire Nhon - Hanoi Station urban railway line will be put into operation, contributing to changing the face of urban transportation in the capital, conveniently connecting various areas, and promoting socio-economic development.

Acknowledging and commending the efforts of the Hanoi Urban Railway Management Board, relevant departments, units, and localities; and expressing gratitude for the responsible involvement of ministries and agencies, especially the Ministry of Construction, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh stated that the project has met the necessary and sufficient conditions for commercial operation of the elevated section, fulfilling the expectations of the people of Hanoi.

Regarding the proposals from various departments, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh stated that the Nhon - Hanoi Station urban railway line has the advantage of inheriting experience from the Cat Linh - Ha Dong urban railway line, with sufficient data for establishing standard unit prices; temporary unit prices will be used during the monitoring process.

Regarding the request to bring the Nhon - Hanoi Station urban railway line into operation as early as August 2024, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh said that the Department of Transport will activate the system on behalf of the city. During the 15-day free trial period, people will be able to access the new urban railway line and visualize the route when using the urban railway system.
