After returning from a friendly tournament in China, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will compete in their next important tournament in 2024: the Southeast Asian-level SEA V.League 2024.

This tournament features four teams: Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines. The competition is divided into two weeks. Week 1 takes place in Vinh Phuc (Vietnam) from August 2-4, and Week 2 is held in Nakhon Ratchasima (Thailand) from August 9-11. In each week's competition, teams will play a round-robin format against each other to determine the weekly champion.
In week 1, playing at home, Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet's team will face the Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand in succession. Today, August 2nd, the Vietnam vs Philippines match will start at 7 PM.
According to experts, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team has a chance to win the SEA V.League 2024 championship for at least one week, especially during the week they play at home.
The Vietnamese women's volleyball team is currently in high form and recently won third place at the world- level FIVB Challenger Cup 2024, while Thailand is not performing well and most of its key players are getting older.
