The Ministry of Industry and Trade revokes inspection licenses for several petroleum businesses.

Simultaneously, the Ministry of Industry and Trade established a team to inspect the eligibility of several businesses to be granted certificates of eligibility to act as petroleum distributors.

This includes CTV Trading and Services Joint Stock Company, headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City, with on-site inspections at its headquarters and company-owned retail gasoline stations; 7 retail gasoline stations belonging to the company's agents; and other inspection activities.

Regarding petroleum wholesalers, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has also established an inspection team to check whether Hai Linh Co., Ltd. (located in Phu Tho ) meets the conditions for being a petroleum wholesaler.

This is one of the largest petroleum wholesalers in the North.

Accordingly, the ministry requested relevant authorities to verify and provide information.

Specifically, the Phu Tho Department of Industry and Trade has been requested to verify and provide information on retail gasoline stations owned by and retail gasoline dealers belonging to the Hai Linh Company Limited system in the province.

This includes 9 retail stores owned by Hai Linh Company and dozens of stores belonging to 15 of its affiliated dealerships.

In addition, the ministry also requested the Departments of Industry and Trade in a number of other provinces such as Lao Cai, Lang Son, Ha Giang, Vinh Phuc, Thai Nguyen, and Bac Ninh to verify and provide information on retail gasoline and diesel dealers under the Hai Linh Company's distribution system in their respective areas, which includes dozens of stores and dealerships.

Verify the retail outlets of a major business in multiple provinces and cities.

Regarding this enterprise, the Ministry of Industry and Trade requires localities to verify and provide information on gasoline retail outlets owned by the company, and gasoline retail outlets under the company's agency; verify and provide information on the legality and validity of the certificate of eligibility for gasoline retail outlets; and verify and provide information on the continued operation of gasoline retail outlets.

Previously, at a meeting with key petroleum traders at the end of July regarding the supply situation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade assessed that, in general, traders had complied with legal regulations on petroleum business, reporting on maintaining and changing the distribution system, reporting on production, export, import, and inventory, reporting on the price stabilization fund, declaring selling prices... periodically as required and on an ad hoc basis as requested by the ministry.

However, there are still traders showing signs of violating regulations by not maintaining business conditions. The ministry has reviewed the situation and directed the General Department of Market Management to inspect and handle the cases according to regulations.

Many traders who did not meet the requirements have proactively returned their certificates of eligibility to be petroleum distributors. Some traders have not proactively submitted the required reports, and the ministry has had to urge and remind them.

In the first six months of the year, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued decisions to inspect the maintenance of petroleum business conditions of 6 primary petroleum traders and 8 distribution traders.

Following a review of reports on maintaining business conditions, the Ministry directed the General Department of Market Management to inspect 4 key traders and 20 distribution traders suspected of violations, in order to consider appropriate action.
