On the morning of August 2, in Ben Tre City (Ben Tre Province), the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ben Tre Province held the opening ceremony of the 10th Congress of Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ben Tre Province, term 2024 - 2029.

Attending the congress were Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan - former Chairwoman of the National Assembly ; Ms. To Thi Bich Chau - Vice Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Speaking at the congress, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Nhung - Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ben Tre province said that the 10th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ben Tre province, term 2024-2029, is an important political event, a broad political activity among all classes of people.

According to Ms. Nhung, this Congress has the task of evaluating the results of the 9th Front's work, term 2019 - 2024, from which to draw lessons, propose the 10th Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Action Program, term 2024 - 2029 with specific goals, directions, tasks and solutions to effectively organize the implementation of the Congress Resolution.

Speaking at the congress, Mr. Tran Thanh Lam - Standing Deputy Secretary of Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee said: The results achieved in the past term have demonstrated that the Vietnam Fatherland Front system in Ben Tre province has constantly strived and matured in all aspects. The position and role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province in the political system continue to be affirmed and enhanced. The Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels is truly a bridge between the Party and the people, a place to express the will and aspirations of the people, and a common home of the great national unity bloc.

On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the province Tran Thanh Lam warmly commended and congratulated the achievements that the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels have achieved in the past term; respectfully thanked all classes of people in the province for upholding the spirit of patriotism, solidarity, consensus, responding, supporting and making efforts to implement the Party's guidelines and policies and laws of the State, contributing to the important achievements of the province in recent years.

"The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee believes that the Standing Committee and members of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee for the new term will continue to promote their sense of responsibility, prestige and intelligence to contribute to the cause of great solidarity, leadership, direction and coordination in effectively implementing the directions, tasks and Action Program to implement the Congress's resolution, promptly bringing the Congress's resolution into life, actively contributing to the overall development of the province," Mr. Lam wished.

Speaking at the congress, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front To Thi Bich Chau expressed her joy and excitement when attending the 10th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ben Tre province, term 2024 - 2029. On behalf of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Vice President To Thi Bich Chau sent her sincere regards to the leaders and 320 delegates who are prestigious people, outstanding individuals representing all walks of life, member organizations, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front of localities in the province attending the Congress.

Vice President To Thi Bich Chau warmly commended the achievements of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in Ben Tre province in the past term; respectfully acknowledged and highly appreciated the contributions of the Front's staff and member organizations at all levels in the province, especially the staff working at the grassroots level.

With the spirit of "Solidarity - Democracy - Consensus - Breakthrough - Development", Vice President To Thi Bich Chau requested the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ben Tre province to pay attention to promptly updating, organizing the dissemination and serious and complete implementation of the Party's policies, especially Resolution No. 43-NQ/TW dated November 24, 2023, the 8th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee on "Continuing to promote the tradition and strength of great national solidarity, building our country to be more and more prosperous and happy". Pay attention to widely disseminating the spirit, content, and 7 groups of solutions stated in the resolution to communes and hamlets, in accordance with the specific conditions of the locality.

“Promoting the strength of solidarity, the spirit of Dong Khoi, the will and aspiration of Ben Tre people to rise up... Striving to build Ben Tre into a developed province of the Mekong Delta region by 2025 and of the whole country by 2030” according to the Resolution of the 11th Ben Tre Provincial Party Congress. Striving by 2050: “Ben Tre is a prosperous province, becoming a livable place with a modern, smart urban system, a green and clean living environment; striving to become a special type I urban area, a satellite city of Ho Chi Minh City”, according to Decision No. 1399/QD-TTg, dated November 17, 2023 of the Prime Minister on approving the Planning of Ben Tre province for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050”, Vice Chairwoman To Thi Bich Chau emphasized.
