Chairman Duc is a prime example because, at the height of his career, he held the most important positions in Vietnamese football, both at the VFF and VPF. This was the time when Chairman Kien "paved the way" to establish the Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF), Chairman Thang (Dong Tam Long An ) became Chairman, while Kien and Chairman Duc themselves held the positions of Vice-Chairman.
Later, Mr. Duc was also trusted and elected as Vice President of Finance of the VFF, second only to President Le Hung Dung. Mr. Duc and his associates set ambitious goals, including raising hundreds of billions of dong for Vietnamese football.
These aspirations ultimately did not come true, and Vietnamese football went through a very difficult period, lasting until the 2017 SEA Games and only returning with the Vietnam U23 team in Changzhou. Chairman Kien faced legal troubles, and Chairman Thang and Chairman Duc also withdrew, linked to the decline of the two teams involved.

If it were V-League without noise, drama, and controversy, would it really be V-League? |
The mark left by bầu Đức (Chairman of the Board of Finance) in his role as Vice President of Finance was rather insignificant; the highlight was the uproar surrounding his attacks on referees, specifically targeting former Head of the Refereeing Committee Nguyễn Văn Mùi. Mr. Mùi has retired, but Vietnamese football continues its familiar cycle.
The development of football is inseparable from the overall economic, political, and social context. Therefore, it is not surprising that Vietnamese football, to achieve its current successes, has gone through many major changes and faced obstacles that only those involved truly understand.
When he was a well-known football fan, Mr. Van Tran Hoan was quite critical of the VFF (Vietnam Football Federation), but when he took over as Chairman of Hai Phong Club, his team caused a stir with numerous serious violations. Mr. Hoan is currently a member of the VFF Executive Committee, meaning that decisions related to Vietnamese football are partly tied to his vote.
It's no coincidence that those in the industry, upon hearing the news that Mr. Tú wanted to step down from his positions at the VFF and VPF, expressed regret and hoped that the leaders of these two organizations would carefully consider the matter. The reason is that, in the context of Vietnamese football needing stability in its leadership structure for a smooth transition, finding the optimal solution is not easy.
Being an official at the VFF is really not easy.
