Lao Dong Newspaper celebrates the 95th anniversary of the publication of its first issue and receives the First Class Labor Medal.

The Editor-in-Chief of Lao Dong Newspaper affirmed that, whether during the war years or the period of national renewal, especially during the period of deep integration with the world , Lao Dong Newspaper has always been at the forefront in disseminating the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws and regulations; it is the voice of the working class and tens of millions of union members and workers nationwide, contributing to motivating and encouraging the patriotic emulation movement. Furthermore, Lao Dong has always been the number one newspaper in protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers.

In the era of Industry 4.0, in addition to regularly publishing print issues, the online version of Lao Dong Newspaper receives millions of visits daily; multimedia communication is enhanced, creating many new, modern, and effective communication methods for union members, workers, and readers both domestically and internationally. This has affirmed the newspaper's stature in the overall development of the country; contributing to positioning the Vietnamese trade union organization within the political and social system.

Over the past 95 years, Lao Dong newspaper has achieved many proud milestones: it has been awarded the title of Hero of Labor once, the First-Class Independence Order twice, the First-Class Labor Order three times, numerous commendations from ministries, departments, provinces and cities, and hundreds of domestic and international journalism awards. Lao Dong newspaper has also received the love and trust of its readers, and the confidence and partnership of many agencies, units, and businesses…

According to Comrade Nguyen Ngoc Hien, to achieve these results, in addition to the efforts of many generations of cadres, reporters, and workers, the newspaper has also received the attention of the Party and State leaders, especially the attention and guidance of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the leaders of the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Vietnam Journalists Association, and the leaders of other ministries and sectors.

The collective of Lao Dong Newspaper is committed to continuing to write the glorious history of its 95 years, looking towards the future, with the firm goal of being the number one newspaper in protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers," emphasized Comrade Nguyen Ngoc Hien.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Dinh Khang - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - affirmed that throughout the past journey, despite facing numerous difficulties and challenges, the collective of cadres, reporters, and editors of the newspaper have always been united, determined to overcome difficulties and challenges, and strive to successfully complete the assigned tasks.

Authorized by the President of Vietnam, Comrade Nguyen Dinh Khang presented the First-Class Labor Order (for the third time) to the collective of the Labor Newspaper; and awarded the Second-Class Labor Order from the President of Vietnam to Comrade Nguyen Ngoc Hien, Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Editor-in-Chief of the Labor Newspaper, for outstanding achievements in his work from 2019 to 2023, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland.
