Issued the Questionnaire for the Anti-Dumping Investigation of Hot-Rolled Steel from India and China.

Previously, on July 26, 2024, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 1985/QD-BCT on the investigation into the application of anti-dumping measures against certain hot-rolled steel products originating from India and China (case code: AD20).

Accordingly, the Trade Remedies Department (the investigating authority) has sent official investigation questionnaires to foreign manufacturing/exporting companies known to the investigating authority for them to answer.

The deadline to respond to the survey questionnaire is before 5:00 PM on September 18, 2024 ( Hanoi time).

To protect its rights and interests, the investigating authority requests that all relevant foreign producers/exporters participate and cooperate fully throughout the investigation process. The content of the responses will serve as the basis for the investigating authority to consider sample selection to limit the scope of the investigation if necessary.

In the event that the investigating authority does not receive a timely response from foreign producers/exporters, or if the information provided is inaccurate or incomplete as required, the investigating authority will use available information to draw conclusions in accordance with Article 75 of the Law on Foreign Trade Management.

The Trade Remedies Department stated that the information and data provided in response to the investigating authority's questionnaire, and the right of relevant parties to access information on the case during the investigation, will be carried out in accordance with the legal regulations on information confidentiality as stipulated in Article 11 of Decree No. 10/2018/ND-CP dated January 15, 2018, which details certain provisions of the Law on Foreign Trade Management regarding trade defense measures.

Therefore, the investigating authority requests that businesses carefully read the instructions before answering and submit their responses by the deadline.
