The weather in Paris during the Olympics was very unpredictable. Many mornings were intensely sunny, but afternoons were often followed by continuous rain showers. Some days, the rain would drizzle in the morning and continue until late at night, sometimes even heavily, like on the day of the opening ceremony. Because of this, the organizing committee had to constantly adjust the schedule, unable to stick to the announced dates, especially for outdoor events such as tennis and archery.

Ánh Nguyệt has had extra time to rest before competing again on August 1st.
On the afternoon of July 31st, the round of 32 matches in the men's and women's single-string archery events were quite intense, with each pair of archers competing fiercely under extremely hot weather. Suddenly, a few showers came and quickly stopped, causing the weather to fluctuate. Despite this, the organizers only delayed the event slightly and resumed it once the rain stopped.
By over 5 PM (French time), the weather was sunny and beautiful, so many matches were played quickly. Even an early match in the round of 16 between home archer Amilie Cordeau and her strong British opponent Megs Havers was played immediately by the organizers amidst the cheers of a large and excited crowd.
However, immediately after this match, the sun suddenly disappeared and it began to get dark. Normally, in Paris during the summer, the sun sets around 9:30 PM, but at only 7 PM, dark clouds gathered. So, although there was still enough light to continue the matches, fearing rain and the rapid onset of darkness, the organizers decided to postpone the remaining matches. The match between Do Thi Anh Nguyet and Mobina Fallah of Iran, scheduled for 7:42 PM (0:42 AM on August 1st, Vietnam time), had to be postponed, and the organizers will announce the new schedule later.

Ánh Nguyệt was ready but had to postpone due to the weather.
Mr. Hoang Quoc Vinh, Head of High-Performance Sports Department 1 of the Department of Sports and Physical Education, and a member of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation, said: "Anh Nguyet has prepared thoroughly for this decisive match, and the Vietnamese delegation is also waiting and hoping. The delay due to weather is unavoidable, and we must respect the Organizing Committee's decision, but this will not significantly affect the psychological preparation of our female archer."
Therefore, on August 1st, both Vietnamese archers will compete. Besides Ánh Nguyệt, Lê Quốc Phong's match is scheduled for the evening, but it's uncertain whether weather conditions will cause a postponement. Thanh Niên will continue to update the schedule of the Vietnamese archers' matches in Paris on August 1st.
