Overcoming many difficulties, especially due to the weather situation greatly affecting production and consumption, in July 2024, TKV made efforts to manage production, the monthly targets as well as the accumulated targets for the first 7 months of the year all met and exceeded the plan.
Due to the impact of heavy rain, coal consumption, especially for households, encountered many difficulties. The mobilized electricity output was mainly prioritized for hydropower. The total registered volume of thermal power plants decreased compared to the registration at the beginning of the month by 865,000 tons. Heavy rain also directly affected the production conditions of both open-pit and underground units.
The Group has proactively prevented storms and floods, improved production efficiency, strived to maximize output, and basically completed the production and business goals and plans set for July 2024.
Specifically, raw coal production reached 2.63 million tons; coal consumption reached 3 million tons; soil stripping reached 8.9 million m3; tunnel excavation reached over 23,200 meters; alumina production reached 114,000 tons; copper concentrate reached 9,820 tons; electricity production and consumption reached 815 million kWh...
In the first 7 months of the year, the output of raw coal reached over 23 million tons, equal to 60% of the yearly plan; coal consumption reached 29.1 million tons, equal to 58.2% of the yearly plan. The power production, industrial explosives, and mechanical engineering sectors basically completed the planned progress, and the mineral sector excellently completed the planned targets. Of which, the production of converted alumina reached 848,900 tons, equal to 65.3% of the yearly plan; copper concentrate 70,100 tons, reaching 65.5% of the yearly plan. The total revenue of the Group is estimated at 100,700 billion VND.
